Seatbelt chime now going off constantly - **UPDATE** - SOLVED

In my 2025 XLT that I've had for about a month now, I've twice had the seat belt sensor go off when I'm driving and buckled in. I'm not 100% certain, but I think it indicated that it was the driver's seat (I had a passenger up front at the time). Unbuckling and re-buckling(multiple times) eventually solved it.

But I've had the sensor go off for other seats due to there being something heavy on them, too.

Have you had the seat belt buckle replaced under the CSP ?

I have not--it hasn't been enough of an issue yet that I was worried about it/I didn't know there was a seat buckle replacement option.

Turns out the constant chiming had nothing to do with the seat belts at all- It appears somehow/someone moved the light switch from A/auto to whatever the setting is below it- Noticed a light icon on the dash cluster that is not normally there and thought hmm- Moved the switch back to A/Auto and no more chimes- Yay

My knee has brushed the knob a couple of times moving it from Auto. Got the chimes right away with the door open.

I forgot about the headlight reminder since I never take it off auto. Thanks for alerting me to that so if it happens I will know to check the lights.

As many people as I see driving at night with only their DRL on, and their dash lights (gotten close enough to see if they are driving with dark dash at night) - more vehicles need a reminder sadly.
And why does it always seem to be the dark cars?
