NHTSA now has the Ford directions for the CSP here.

Just running a new cable alongside the old one sounded a little hokey to me but apparently that is indeed what they're doing.
Look at it as plumbing a water line (product inside) same as electric (product outside), the only difference. At low pressures say 20 psi water with multiple taps opening and closing on way to storage tank at the last tap on the line will result in range of pressure fluctuations which could create flow problems. Solution is to run a second line directly to the storage tank to help equalize pressure fluctuations at the farthest tap. Same with electricity run a wire to the most distant tap (battery storage) which should help lower the amplitude of the fluctuations. Perhaps the bms needs a voltage stabilizer to hold current to it's preferred range. ???

It's not a second line. It's a replacement. Only the new overlay harness will be live.

The original wire harness remains in the vehicle but the terminal will be cut off and covered with Dual Wall Heat Shrink tubing. Think of it like an electrician at your house running a new wire in the walls to replace an old one. They'll often leave the old wire in the wall, but simply twist on a wire nut on the exposed ends, and bury it in the wall. Not really worth the time and money to rip the old wire out of the wall.

Same thing here. Ford just doesn't see value in paying techs to fish out the factory wire harness.

I'd made it 17 months from delivery with no deep sleep notifications and now I've gotten three in the past two weeks. Definitely pushing me to get this addressed ASAP before I start having the no-start condition. 🙁

I'm taking my Maverick in to have the deep sleep mode issue addressed next week so here's hoping they can get it squared away without having to keep the truck 'til kingdom come....

Update: next week will be 2 months since getting my no-start condition repairs completed. So far, zero problems, zero deep sleep messages.
I am in the same boat as you. A month since the repairs and only 1 deep sleep message which I'll chalk up as a hiccup. Since we'll both in the frozen wastelands of the north, it'll be interesting to see how it behaves during the colder months.

I had my Maverick in last week for 3 recalls, one was for the no start condition it never happened to me they replaced the positive 12 volt battery cable, did the air bag recall, and under hood fire recall removed 2 blinds in the radiator shutter and added holes in the bottom engine cover did a nice job happy with their work.

Welp, picking my truck back up today to see if it's squared away. They claimed it was the 12v battery causing the deep sleep issue AND my passenger door touch lock failure so they replaced the battery. Not sold on whether this will fix the issue or not, so time will tell. 🙄

They said that with mine too, but I had another no-start situation not long afterwards, and it turned out it also needed the infamous battery cable replaced to fully correct the problem. Today is officially two full months since they fixed it, and I'm seeing no issues with the truck whatsoever.

Yeah....looks like I'll be heading back to the dealer very soon because even after they replaced my battery last month I just got the battery saver mode again today. The curse of being a 2022 model guinea pig.... 😔

Hopefully, the job gets done completely and correctly this time. I know that it was incredibly frustrating for me wondering if they'd ever manage to correct the problem, but thankfully, I'm at 3 months today and still have zero messages or issues.

Outstanding to hear that. I've got an appointment in a few weeks to get the overlay done and the newer recall for reprogramming, so here's hoping!

I just had the wiring harness replacement done yesterday and the reprogramming for the emissions.

What do you know My truck went into deep sleep this morning. 😥

I thought I'd fix the issue when I replace the battery a couple months ago and haven't had the deep sleep since.

Anyone who has had 22B39 performed have any issues with how their dealer performed the service? Anything I need to watch for with the dealer technicians workmanship?
