Look at it as plumbing a water line (product inside) same as electric (product outside), the only difference. At low pressures say 20 psi water with multiple taps opening and closing on way to storage tank at the last tap on the line will result in range of pressure fluctuations which could create flow problems. Solution is to run a second line directly to the storage tank to help equalize pressure fluctuations at the farthest tap. Same with electricity run a wire to the most distant tap (battery storage) which should help lower the amplitude of the fluctuations. Perhaps the bms needs a voltage stabilizer to hold current to it's preferred range. ???NHTSA now has the Ford directions for the CSP here.
Just running a new cable alongside the old one sounded a little hokey to me but apparently that is indeed what they're doing.
