So today I noticed that after reverse, and then drive I was no longer seeing a preview of the rear while driving off. I went to the features menus, then rear camera and the option for rear view camera delay is no longer showing in the options. Can anyone with a Lariat check this out on their sync system? This is upsetting as I count on that feature in a couple of situations. I'm assuming it was an automatic update which caused it.

FWIW, it still works in my XLT.
Thanks for the reply. My guess is that it's a sync 3 issue. I tried searching for updates, but nothing.

OP - Reboot your infotainment and see if it's back. Hold down power and fast forward/skip track until it goes black.

this is what mine says. also it shows it's up to date.
I'm guessing the hardware is different on the OP's being it's a 22 so the software would be different.

I never knew that this feature existed before so thanks for posting.

I have an XLT (non-LUX) and I can see the setting for the Backup Camera Delay and have enabled it.

Still there on my '22 Hybrid Lariat Lux, but I'm on original Build 21194_PRODUCT firmware.

One of the reasons I leave Auto Updates Off.

Yeah, I tried that already. I wonder if I can rollback a version?

you can try a factory reset. I am not personally aware of whether this applies the as-built Sync3 code or just leaves the existing code and wipes all personalization. might be the last thing to try before you head into the dealership, though.

I'd in the vehicle menu of the infotainment, I believe.

I have confirmed with Ford Customer Relations that this feature as been deleted as of build 22251! Ford deleted it as a safety issue because of people using it while driving and having accidents.

They have no plans to restore the feature!

Keep your 22200 version as long as you can!

Honest question: in what situations do you use it? Through three vehicles with that setting as an option I have never found a situation where I need the delay.
