There seems to be large percentage of Mavericks evolved in accidents that are not the drivers fault. I am now one of the statics. Saturday on I-26 just entered South Caroline from North Caroline a deer kissed the left front fender at about 75mph. Lucky it was not a direct hit in the front. Surprised the damage was not that bad. Took it to have an estimate for repair on Wednesday, and the estimate was $1, 056. They ordered the fender Wednesday and it arrived Friday. I though it would be weeks/months too get parts. Have had the Mav. for about 4mo.

I'm surprised they are even replacing the panel, looks like it could be just reshaped with a rubber mallet.
Paint is chipped/damaged to the metal of the fender, and the hood/fender gap is off.

" There seems to be large percentage of Mavericks evolved in accidents that are not the drivers fault. "

Is there any data to support that there is a large percentage of Mavericks evolved in accidents that are not the drivers fault?

Are Mavericks evolved in accidents that are not the drivers fault more often than other vehicles?

They don't seem to have very much luck, with the Railroads...
(10) lost at East Palestine, (20) in Pennsylvania a few months later...

Someone bumped me in a drive through a couple days ago.

Luckily it only hit the hitch, no bends underneath. You could see the square from the hitch cover I have imprinted through the dirt on their bumper, but somehow nothing else made contact. After seeing how easily the rear end crumples I made sure to pull out to the side (and so did he) then got underneath and checked everything. Nothing moved, no crumples, just tapped at the right spot. Lucky? I dunno... lucky would be never getting hit.

I was doing SOOOO good too. Don't ya hate that crap? Years without an incident, very patient safe driver (most may consider slow but whatever) and then someone rolls into my backside in a drive through. smh.

But deer... oh yea. Scare the crap out of me almost daily around here. Had to put one down about a week ago because someone hit it 2 vehicles in front of me and kept going. Both of us behind that driver stopped. Had to drag it off the road because it was crawling back into traffic and put it down in a ditch. Probably woke that house up pretty early. At least as soon as it was done one of the sheriffs in town pulled up, so I didn't have to worry about calling it in or anything. Clean up crew will take care of it.

What about yours? Sometimes they bounce right off and keep on going.

had mine 2 weeks, while washing it my ladder fell into the rear passenger door, $3300 replacing the whole door and blending paint into driver's door and bed.

A few years ago I had a deer jump in front of me. Just as I almost hit it it leaped into the air and landed on my Subaru Forester windshield. It slid off into the ditch with its head on backward. Thankfully, dead immediately.

I assume your cleanup crew is the same as it is here in Ark.

No, the damage went over a crease and popped the paint. To much time to bondo and fix, just for a subpar repair. Replace is the only right way.
