Where are the Hawaiian Mavericks

I just spent eight days on Kauai. I had my alert sensors on for any Mavericks that I might come across. While it seems like at least half of the vehicles on that island are pickups, mostly Toyotas, I never saw a single Maverick. Dos anybody on Kauai drive a Maverick. If not, then why might that be?

Aloha @SteveG I recently spent 5 nights on Maui and 2 on Oahu. I saw 1-3 Mavericks daily on Maui and saw 1 Maverick each day on Oahu.
Here's one of the Maui Mavs.

They're out there.

Oahu has several roaming around (spotted both Hybrid & FX4 models), including a couple on dealership lots. Only saw 1, maybe 2 on the big island. - We just came back on Monday.

I noticed a couple of Mavs on the Big Island last time we were there back in March 2024. I don't recall the configurations. Orchid Isle Ford shows several used and new.

The only real highway I know of on the Big Island is State Route 200, aka the Saddle Road.

Tip: The local police drive Camero's, Mustangs, Chargers and 4-Runners that are unmarked until they hang that blue light on the roof and chase you down. The State police in marked cars and SUV's are few and far between.
