The heated seats and wheel are great, especially when it's below freezing and the cab hasn't warmed up yet. :D Had a few days when it was just a few degrees above freezing and used them already this fall.

It does cycle on and off after hitting peak temperature, kind of like a rear window defroster. I find pushing the button off and turning it back on helps get around this.

Now I’m surprised images like these haven’t shown up in a movie or TVs show when TI has been used.

[says the guy with the TI camera, commenting to his partner] “Sure, there’s a warm body in the trunk, but would you look at those heated seats and wheel!”

Really cool! (yes, oxymoron alert needed…)

If I was a Ford engineer, you best bet I’d be writing my name out with those seat heater coils. Or maybe a smiley face. Or both. Only to never be seen by anyone except clever dudes with thermal cameras 😁

I used to pity you guys who lived up in the
"Frozen North" .. I used to say you had 2 seasons, Winter and the 4th of July! ..lol. I live on the Gulf Coast. We had 45 days over 100°F this summer. I'm now envious!! It was 95F today!

I'm surprised it is that defined in the images and not more diffuse.
part of what you are seeing is almost certainly image fusion with a visible camera. I'm not sure if this is changing your perception. maybe not.

The colored parts are indeed the heat signature but all of those finer outlines are from a visible camera with an outline filter applied and then combined with the thermal imagery. you can really tell this is the case on the steering wheel because the heat signature is misaligned with the outline due to parallax (the cameras are separated by a small distance).
