Thanks for your post. I have a '23 XLT hybrid built in April, and just updated the audio system software. The Ford P/N as well as before & after versions reported were identical to yours. After installation was complete, I let the system sit for a few minutes to make reasonably sure that all the invisible bookkeeping was done. Then I forced a reset by holding down the VOL and SEEK> buttons for several seconds. It took the system a couple minutes to complete initialization of all services after the reboot. Now I get to find out if some of my gripes have been fixed.
You know what, I never thought to try the forced reset after the installation. I may try that next time

Does Ford say what has been changed or fixed on this new update? My hybrid 2023 built July 2023 seems to working okay. I wonder if I should mess with it and do an update? I have yet to activate wifi. My home wifi sucks so I will use my phones hotspot.

On my old 2020 Ecosport I could NOT get the wifi ever to work and downloaded an update on main home computer put on usb stick and updated that way. Mine had a real problem with backup camera at night blinding me to bright., Update fixed it BUT maverick no issues I am aware of.,

It would be real nice if they gave us info on what the update addresses.

When i did it on last car via computer to usb stick it had a list of fixes on web page. BUT since everyone is doing it direct to car no list. .

No idea if there is a webpage for a download like i did On last car. I cant remember how I found it as it was in 2020.

Another disclaimer! If you are “maverick literate” this video may be boring for you.
For those of you who haven’t gone through the process before, I video’d myself updating the infotainment software/firmware to the newly released version. For me, it’s always a little bit messy, but it gets done. Anyways, enjoy the video!

Excellent video, it's all downloaded, no ding yet but it said installed so I'm sure when my wife gets in her truck in the morning she'll get a surprise voice that says its been updated:) I found your YouTube Channel, liked and subscribed too.

Thanks to the OP for his efforts. I'm in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" camp as well. The Mav is behaving as advertised, with no occurring issues. It is a simple machine, relatively speaking, Just an FYI, I've updated other high-end vehicles and found it would make unwanted changes; unintended consequences if you will.

downloaded and installed last night, took about 20 minutes. This morning on the way to work I received the audio message of update completed. Not sure what it did and didn't notice anything different?

I couldn't get it to update using work wifi from the parking lot or my home from the driveway so I punted and use cell phone hot spot. Unfortunately T-Mobile throttles hot spot to 512kbps so it took 90 minutes but got it done.

It did not fix the issues I have experienced. That being USB music shuffle uses about 1% of my collection (plays the same songs over and over) and it does not respect playlists, as in plays music not on the play list.

Just completed the update via my home wifi. It took at least a half hour to download and install but the connection was likely not that great. Got the voice notification that the update was complete. Tried turning off the vehicle and pretending to exit then lock the car but it didn't seem to register as it still showed the same version number as before. Did the power/ff reset thing and it seemed to work because it displayed the correct version number.

Then for some reason it decided to update again. Another half hour later I had to go through the same reset nonsense to get it to complete. Afterward it showed the same version number so it's not clear why it insisted on updating twice.

Hopefully this will improve the bluetooth connectivity issues I've been experiencing.

I never got a voice notice of the update being completed, but it shows the correct new version, so I'm sure all is good.

I believe the update has smoothed out my wireless CarPlay adapter connection. I had more lag before and at times the adapter would just lock up and I would have to unplug it and then plug it back in to get it going.
