I have a Lariet on order but I'm down to 2 wheels and it's getting cold and wet out. Think I have a permanent sniffles from getting soaked in the rain. Called around to different dealers and the only one available was a loaded Lariat eco in white. Dealer wanted $5k mark-up but I got him down to $1k. It's okay but I'm still looking forward to my ordered Maverick that might come mid winter. I might have waited a little longer but I'm spooked by the strike. The dealer helped me load up my bike (480lbs) and it handled it like a champ. See pic below.

You are me one year ago, October 2022. Although I wasn't on a motorcyle. I placed my order for a '23 hybrid Lariat but realized it wasn't going to materialize anytime soon. So I found a white Lariat 2.0EB with a sunroof on a dealer's lot and paid $1800 over sticker here in SoCal. I've enjoyed the heck out of it for 8.5 k miles, two oil changes and one tire rotation. My '23 rolled over to '24 and I am scheduled the week of October 16, 2023 for a '24. I got a VIN but the window sticker isn't ready. Oxford white to keep it cooler, sunroof to keep me cooler, Lux pkg and all-weather floor protectors. Enjoy your new Mav and put your order out of mind. Bingo, it will be scheduled.

Nothing wrong with taking one off the lot. I bought mine off the lot and have no regrets. The markup was a little high but I got a great deal on my trade in. The Mav had everything I would’ve ordered and a few things I might not have but have come to appreciate. I have since upgraded it a bunch. Mine was 'used' at 666 miles 😂😂😂.

I'm still really pleased with how my Atlas Blue Mav will look when I get it.

But every shot of the Cyber Orange in Real Light versus the configurator page....I ALMOST have ragerts.

Man, it looks so good.

Thank you! My wife doesn’t like the color but I do. When the sun hits it just right the metallic fleck just glistens! The Atlas Blue looks great but that wasn’t an option. They had 2 Area 51 and the Cyber Orange. One was pretty beat up and the other was $5K more but was a Lariat with no real options I could see. So, as Goldilocks said, the CO was just right 😂!

I don't see any reason to be angst by this decision. Great looking vehicle and the Lariat you're sitting in probably has all the bells and whistles of the one you ordered. One Lariat in hand . . .

Oh no, there no angst, (now, at least) I'm happy with the decision. If this was a hybrid I'd keep it. I scoured the area and this was it. It stretched me financially but I'm hoping I can break even when my other Maverick gets here. My divorce is going on and it's jamming me too.
I jumped on it because I was worried about the strike.
I bet Ford wishes they would have done two assembly lines from the start, every Maverick that pops up goes pretty quickly.
Been a weird, stressful year.

Congratulations and happy you’re going to stay dry! Great looking with BAP package. You may end up keeping this one !

Understood. Sorry about your circumstances The Maverick should be able to provide you with somewhere to drain the stress. All of us here have had trials and tribulations. Myself, two house fires in the span of two years. My Maverick kept me from drowning in despair. I know that's pretty strong, but the truck was a rebirth. I wish you the best in your journey.

Nothing at all wrong with that decision Tim. Two days before I was scheduled to sit down with a nearby dealer to place an order on Monday July 17, 2023, I did a last minute online search, located two mavericks at a dealer a little further away, drove down and bought it Sunday, then canceled my ordering appointment that afternoon. I just didn’t want to deal with the uncertainty of waiting 12-18 months or longer and come up short, so bought off the lot. I have no regrets.😁

From my boss today.

This guy just called about the Maverick, which is in, and said if we know anyone who wants it, just have them call him, say, "I'm interested in Steve's Maverick and they get first dibs. That's a quote.

This is El Cajon Ford in San Diego. I'm sure that there is a markup, just trying to help, if that's possible, in any way I can

I bought an XLT Hybrid in Feb of this year because I was tired of the wait. Now the XLT Hybrid that I ordered on 11/3/21 , has finally been built. Should be here in Oct! Can't wait to see it.

What are you going to do with the first one?

I want to see it and test drive the one I ordered, but I will most likely keep the one I have now. XLT Hbrid, Area 51 with BAP. Sharp

If the BAP was available when I placed my order, I probably would have gone with the Lariat and BAP. At the time, I just didn’t want that poop brown fake leather in the Maverick. I know some don’t like the orange trim in the XLT, but I like the fabric much better.

What was Ford thinking making that the standard interior for the Lariat? It's my single biggest gripe about the Maverick.
