1k over on a '23 is probably still a lot cheaper than MSRP on a '24. I'm paying $1200 over for a '23 and it still ends up $1500 cheaper than the exact same truck minus the keypad built as a '24.

We took our 2022 Maverick in for its first annual service at 9600 miles. There were 2 Maverick in front us and another 2 in the delivery pen. All were Cactus Gray except our VB. There was a lot of conversation about their rarity and public interaction. So 5 Mavericks getting serviced in a single spot and everyone loving them. Quite cool!!

BTW none even heard about MTC, they have now!!

I have a Lariet on order but I'm down to 2 wheels and it's getting cold and wet out. Think I have a permanent sniffles from getting soaked in the rain. Called around to different dealers and the only one available was a loaded Lariat eco in white. Dealer wanted $5k mark-up but I got him down to $1k. It's okay but I'm still looking forward to my ordered Maverick that might come mid winter. I might have waited a little longer but I'm spooked by the strike. The dealer helped me load up my bike (480lbs) and it handled it like a champ. See pic below.

You did very well.
Steal of a deal.
I would have gotten 2 or 3 at that price!

You go out and have some fun now.

That looks good with the BAP. You got a good deal for one off the lot!

Do you think that you will be able to sell this one for what you paid OTD when your other one comes in?

You did good! Mine wanted $12K! Got out with the $29k MSRP truck “only” $33k! They hate me! Won’t even call to tell me my plates are in😂

That's what I'm hoping.

That white with the BAP is a pretty sweet spec! Nice find and just in time! I've done the moto-only thing for a bit too; even with good gear and heated grips, 50 degrees and raining is still pretty unpleasant.

I used to ride my motorcycle daily in all sorts of weather when going to college. Got stuck in a crazy rain storm where the street flooded. I was sitting at a red light and it started to pour. The water was about 4 inches deep by the time the light turned green and when I started moving (nice and slow) the front wheel directed the water right into my shoes.
It gets pretty foggy around my parts in the winter and I would ride to work, then I would run in and stand in front of the heaters to warm up. I would walk away steaming.
the things I did for the better gas mileage. I was riding a little 250cc Ninja. It got 55-65 mpg (can’t remember) and my truck at the time got 22.
you have a beautiful bike and a beautiful truck! Congrats!

Good for you.
And as far as selling the ordered Mav, go for it.
Get what you can but sell it as soon as you can.
The problem is Ford's not yours.

Just remember something though.
The laws of economics will arrive at some point.
Think.
There are a bunch of fleet vehicles, probably leased, and Hermosillo went to extra shifts recently.
A bunch of fleet Mavs are going to come off lease in the next few years, and the factory will catch up to demand.
The leased vehicle expirations plus the reduction in the newness of the vehicle, and the normal churn due to customer desires will reduce demand at the same time supply spikes.
Prices will drop.

Like you, I need a vehicle, though for a different reason.
Ordered a 22, got rolled into 23 and then into 24.
And now a strike.
I bought a TikTok Kia just to have a vehicle.

We bought two while awaiting our Lariat Hybrids to be built. Drove them 6 months each, then ours came in. Sold one to a local Ford dealer for $4K more than we paid for it and traded the other one in on wife's Lariat for almost $5K more than we paid for it. You made a wise move and will come out just fine when yours gets built.

i think dealers that mark up Mavs are scumbags especially when they get that greedy.

Nothing wrong with taking one off the lot. I bought mine off the lot and have no regrets. The markup was a little high but I got a great deal on my trade in. The Mav had everything I would’ve ordered and a few things I might not have but have come to appreciate. I have since upgraded it a bunch. Mine was 'used' at 666 miles 😂😂😂.

That's one helluva nice truck... congratulations!

You made the right choice going with a Lariat. The Lariat models are on a whole different level compared to the cheesy looking (to my eyes) XL and XLT's.

Enjoy her and may the Lord bless you with many miles of happiness. 👍

I'd say you made a very wise choice. You'll enjoy this truck so much. You'll love your hybrid even more.

Oh yeah, I will love the hybrid. That's what I had before I totaled it a month or 2 ago. Kinda like to keep them both but it looks like I'll have the AWD for the winter so that will be good. I might add the BAP to my Azure Lariat hybrid.
