I have a Lariet on order but I'm down to 2 wheels and it's getting cold and wet out. Think I have a permanent sniffles from getting soaked in the rain. Called around to different dealers and the only one available was a loaded Lariat eco in white. Dealer wanted $5k mark-up but I got him down to $1k. It's okay but I'm still looking forward to my ordered Maverick that might come mid winter. I might have waited a little longer but I'm spooked by the strike. The dealer helped me load up my bike (480lbs) and it handled it like a champ. See pic below.

Yes! Kind of spruced up the white. My ordered Maverick is Azure but I'm thinking the Black Appearance Package would look good on it.

I'm ambivalent about the BAP grille and tail light treatment, but man, I really like the interior. I would order it or Tremor for sure.

BTW I've also lived the motorcycle-only life a short while, and even in good raingear it is less than ideal sitting at a stoplight with a half a gallon of cold water pooled between your crotch and the gas tank. My brother in law rides in the dead of Kansas winter and I think he's insane. Good call on finding a truck now.

Yeah, 100% -- I bought my first Ranger back in the day because I was full time motorcyling and it just got so tiring to never have dry shoes/etc.

There was a really wet winter and just gave up and went to the Ford dealer.

Anyway, congrats on the Maverick, looks pretty sharp, tbh.

Yep, getting a little chilly pretty quick. Of course, that means two weeks from now it'll be 90 again... But I'm right there with you. I don't ride in the cold/wet lol. I ride comfortably.

Saw this guy on YT from somewhere overseas, some Viking descendant, that spends thousands on gear just to ride in the winter. Makes no sense to me. I'd rather buy a hooptie.

I ended up buying one locally as I assumed my order would never get made! Then my 2023 magically showed up without warning this summer. I had already grown attached to the one I purchased and stuck with it! It all happens for a reason! Enjoy the Mav!!

I'd say you made a very wise choice. You'll enjoy this truck so much. You'll love your hybrid even more.

Nothing at all wrong with that decision Tim. Two days before I was scheduled to sit down with a nearby dealer to place an order on Monday July 17, 2023, I did a last minute online search, located two mavericks at a dealer a little further away, drove down and bought it Sunday, then canceled my ordering appointment that afternoon. I just didn’t want to deal with the uncertainty of waiting 12-18 months or longer and come up short, so bought off the lot. I have no regrets.

And I don't have that good rain gear. I'm only riding constantly because I totaled my Maverick a couple of months ago. I love the bike but ..............
Usually I put the bike on a small, tilting trailer and I'm glad the Maverick handled it in the bed so easy. I made the dealer help me load it before I gave him the check.

I just checked the window sticker that was in the glove box. Yup, it has 4k tow. I hope someone appreciates all that when it comes time for me to sell when my other Maverick comes in.

Moral of the story, cannot fault anyone for just going and buying an off lot Maverick. 1K over is not bad at all, all things considered. Good luck, who knows you may grow attached.

Yeah, AWD for the winter will be nice. Too bad I can't have two Mavericks.
