I kind of feel the Ford Maverick should’ve been called Ford Pinto instead.

Seems like a more fitting name at this point :ROFLMAO:
No not really.

Maverick: a person known for shocking remarks or outrageous behavior. Deviant. Non-conformist. An individual who does not go along with a group or party.

Note it states at maximum set speed even that done with my key 50??mph. Max speed set at 110mph or whatever? The implication would be that also could include cruise set speed. Implication would be that electric assist would be turned off and ice only running. Maybe @GPSMan could observe this? Maybe cruise needs the ability to have "economy coast/elec assist" function say set max at 70 min at 66mph???
I don't understand what you are talking about or why you would think that.

I don't believe it means cruise control - MyKey is a way you can lower the governor through the app (i.e., safety feature to cap the top seed when you teenager takes it out for a spin). I assume that means the software is doing something incorrectly emissions-wise at whatever the vehicle's governor is set at - be it factory or through MyKey. So doesn't matter what the top speed is since that's adjustable, but just the fact that you're at the top speed.
The question is how is the cruise control setting it's speed limit (possibly by temporarily setting the governor to that limit just like mykey). If not then at least the programmer would be using some of the subroutines and most likely cruise would be subject to at least some of the incorrect programming. Basically what is the difference of running at 110mph top speed and mykey mph top speed and cruise control mph top speed. Only programmer may know or may not know depending on how much of the actual code he wrote. A thought: How is it treated if a mykey driver sets cruise above his key limit? Is his request refused with a pop up or is cruise just set at the mykey limit? If I was programming I would consider when approaching mykey or governor mph limit just setting cruise to appropriate speed and setting an interrupt trigger for accelerator reduction just like touching brake. That way all emissions etc would be identically executed.

Unrelated.. But for those who completed a recall at a dealership, how long does it take for it to update to show complete/removed from the recall screen?

I had the airbag + fire recall & csp done in early August, but still getting emails and letters about recall not done.

8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.

I feel like it's Recall Whack a Mole. I keep telling my household that it's a first-year vehicle of a brand new model. 🤣

Guess my dealer tech was right that Ford was going to issue a recall for the grabby break and other software updates in Q4!

recalls show when I sign into Ford.com, (now have 3, including the one you mention) but don't show up on my FordPass app?
