No, that's why I asked you. I looked in the owner's manual and towing guide. My conclusion is that you're wrong, and rude.
Why am I rude? Because I used your question to prove the whole process of answering a simple question, "How much weight can I tow", is unnecessarily convoluted?
Or because I made you look up the answer, even know you couldn't find it? Did you lean anything in the process?
It is on page 270 in my 2023 owners manual(see pic). And I was wrong, it is not 1600 lbs, it is 1500 lbs when Ford recommends brakes (I missed that in the sales literature that made me think I could tow 2k without mods)

Oh and speaking of convoluted, it also says you can't exceed your GVWR of your truck with the added trailer unless you have brakes. So that means every truck is different and most have lower towing capacity then the 1500 lbs if you dont have brakes.

Some trailers have built in "surge" brakes that are hydraulic driven by the force of the trailer on the hitch when the towing vehicle is slowing.

And now they have self contained electric brake controller that only use a g-force sensor to activate the trailer brakes, no modification of the towing vehicles is required.

So you don't have to make any changes to your Maverick to tow 2000 lbs.

A friend of mine weighed his 22 Lariat Hybrid. He had a flat tow trailer weight limit of 4000 lbs on his Transit motorhome and wanted to make sure it did not exceed that. With a moon roof it came to 3810 lbs. empty. Considering his GVWR he had about 300-400 lbs he could stow in the truck bed when the rig was fully loaded.

Yes, I installed an Autowbrake controller today on the truck, but haven't taken the trailer for a test drive yet.
I installed the controller on the truck so now it can tow any trailer with elect brakes and have them function. (they market it as a trailer mount).
The point I am trying to make is that Ford should be more upfront with the specs. I screwed up, in the year I waited for the Maverick to be built, I bought a 2000 lb aluminum flatbed trailer without brakes, now I am not happy that I can't use it to full capacity (which isn't much to start with. It doesn't have brake flanges on the axle).

upbringing?
Lack of patients with people that don't understand my theories. But at least I wasn't wrong...
And I was asking sincerely on why you thought what I wrote was rude. I had teachers that always made you look up the answer, because you find other stuff in the process, and that might help you or someone else.

Snowflakes are helping me learn. If they don't agree with you or with the facts you're wrong, and rude. I will try not to contribute anymore as facts and common sense seem to send you into a tailspin. It helps me understand why ford put the fuse box in upside down.

Says the one who made a post to complain about ford lying to him despite the fact that payload and towing capacities for basically every vehicle are variably calculated (and advertised) this exact same way.

If they don't agree with you or with the facts you're wrong, and rude.
Except you didn't have the facts until you read closer to that fine print for your specific truck.

You wanted other people to whine with you, but you got told instead, so you throw out your favorite demeaning word. Look who's melting.

Well Vinny, your wrong, I had the facts from day one (for what was public information). But since you want to jump in here, this started out as a comparison to the time period when the vehicle manufacturers advertised inflated MPG figures, and if enough of us complained about the (in MHO) deceptive cargo and trailer weight capabilities, it would force more truthful load specs.

You state " (and advertised) this exact same way.", but maybe (though I doubt it) you can show me this advertising you speak of?
Or where the sales brochures indicate your non-braked trailed can not bring your GCVWR over the truck's labeled GVWR (sorry if that is hard for you to follow, it is very technical). It advertises a 2,000 lb tow rating with a footnote of "Maximum towing varies cargo, accessories or number of passengers". Since we are talking about bone stock-off the lot trucks, accessories are purchased through Ford (for the topic of advertisement claims) and they don't offer a brake control for the hybrid thereby limiting your trailer weight as described in bold print above, NOT 2,000 lbs.

You can increase the GVWR of any vehicle if you dump enough money into it and have it certified, so aftermarket parts don't apply here.

Fine if you and some of the others find this acceptable, but for example Tiger Dude could not find that limitation even after I told him it was there. It is written in a way that the average person has trouble interpreting it. You have no problem with that?

I think it is sad that lots of owners just want to ignore Ford's limitations and run overweight, breaking laws and putting the public at risk, no matter how much experience they have or how many times they have gotten away with it. But that is why, as you say, I am whining. Because I don't want to run my truck in violation.
