Ford Maverick Well this is new! (update after "in production") 1693494675871

After waiting almost a full year, I received the email above today. My Maverick was scheduled for production on August 21 and I received that email early June. After that, there was no contact, but checking on the order tracker, I saw that the production button had turned green as well as displaying my Vin number and window sticker. Super excited- finally it's going to happen, right?! Then I woke up this morning to the email above. o_OI have no idea what this game is, but I can promise you that, this will be the last time I order from Ford motor company. Abyssmnal way to treat customers. Going from in-production to see you later is genuinely unbelievable

I don't believe you have much to worry about. My Hybrid XLT was built on Wednesday. I did not get that email, but I believe you will be built soon. Keep the Faith!

I have to ask....Do you have any constrained items on your build? That may be a reason for the delay.
Also, the tracker has been known to be wacky sometimes. My truck build date jumped around several times prior to getting built (which is normal). you can also call Ford customer service and find out what the delay is about... 800-334-4375

I got one as we, though mine isn't scheduled. Other than that particular point, it's word for word the same email. They must be trying something new as far as communication with the 2024 batch firing up.

Instead of waiting for the next email I would stay in contact with Ford Marketing and or their chat service from the Ford website. They should be able to get you a status by using your order number, sales code and or VIN number. We received our VIN number for the 23 to 24 rollover order. Can't wait to see how many times that Oct 16th date changes.

Thanks for the tip- I'll try and reach Ford. No constrained items, and I was careful about that when ordering. I'll lyk after I speak with them.

I would reach out to Ford Chat as well. I am scheduled for this week, and last week I asked if they had an actual build date for me. It went from 8/30 to last time was 9/2 (which was a saturday). So I decided to chat them up today to see if there was any updates and they told me it is currently "in production" and said they cant tell when it will be done, but it is currently being "built". My dealership hasnt gotten back to my email on monday morning yet, and they are crap. So I would say check in with chat and they can help more than anything. I also read on here a bunch of people (in the past)who got their vehicle is scheduled for production email, followed by the 45day sorry for the delay email later in the same day... so chat would be the way to go. keep us updated!

Thanks for the information and encouragement. After a few hours of communicating with the dealership, I was amazed to hear that my Maverick is not only in production, but it's actually "produced!" Geat news actually :) See the screenshot attached here from my sales rep. I guess Ford just likes to keep things interesting every now and then. Cheers all

Relax, it's just an automatic email that was sent out as your Maverick did not get built during that week. Orders can get pushed back by a few days (probably due to the shutdown in this case), but they will get built once the order tracker shows "In Production".

People complained when they did not hear anything about their orders so Ford decided to send these automated emails every 45 days.

Since we're on the topic of notification emails and order status, can someone guide me: Ford sent me an email 2 weeks ago saying my order will be built the week of October 16 2023 as a model year 24, with a VIN and order number. When I put the VIN and order number in the tracker nothing happens and when I refresh, it gives me a message "session timed out". I was expecting that because 2 weeks passed since the notification, it would be in the system. Advice? I don't want to sell my '22 EB until I am certain my hybrid is going into production.

Be
mine is somewhere between Hermosillo and Missouri. However like you, this will be my last Ford purchase. Between the dealer refusing to provide information or contact and updates throughout the process and Fords inability to get their crap together? I’m done! I will hopefully take delivery of the truck soon unless they try to pull something shady with financing and that will be the end of a 40 year loyal customer.
