I was driving myself crazy looking for odometer statistics last night. Can anyone tell me the sequence to find odometer readings for total electric miles travelled in a hybrid? (So not the trip report that shows after you turn the vehicle off)

I am specifically looking for the total number of electric miles so that I can subtract them and deduce only ICE miles to time my hybrid oil change schedule, BUT, I cant seem to find any screen that shows that.

I know about the stats screen for trips 1 and 2, but even that screen does NOT show the total all electric miles, only the average fuel economy over the length of the specific trip gauge.

Looked thru the manual's table of contents, could only find pg 122 regarding trip gauge but it doesn't describe any all electric stats..

So there was another thread here where pictures were posted of a member's all electric milage.. I realized that their layout in the trip gauge looked different from mine, and it appears their info screen is the 6.5" lariat or fx4 screen.. could the display format possibly be different than my xlt 4.5" screen?

Can anyone with a hybrid and a 4.5" display screen confirm they are able to display the total electric miles travelled? Thank you in advance!

Was actually wondering same thing.
For me I plan to never reset trip b, but seeing electric miles traveled would be awesome on XL and XLT s

If it's really not there I'm very much hoping that can be an update or forscan unlockable...

There is only one problem with that...if you ever have the PCM replaced, it erases your trip related mileage.

Perhaps consider getting a scan gage lll like @GPSMan has and keep track of lots of things. I just use oil life monitor as it adjusts for length of driving trips. Excess operating temperatures and things like miles in tow haul mode and only Ford knows what! I am almost certain that my "Annual required oil change" will occur before my "ICE miles operated oil change required" occurs.

One of the BEST WAYS to change your oil is.....

Every 250 gallons of fuel burned.

Keep track of gallons burned and you are golden. This is what you'd do for ships, stationary engines, generators, earth moving equipment, and so on.

If you are "gentle" the fuel will take you far and so will the oil.

If you are towing/hauling the fuel won't take you as far and neither will the oil.

It also accounts for any idle time when the odometer isn't turning.

It's about as perfect of a measuring system as you can get.

Ooh very nice! Hey, how did you come to 250 gallons?

That number is 10,000 miles / 40 MPG.
Or also 5,000 miles / 20 MPG (towing).

However! Just for you guys, I just looked at data for my past fill ups.

My "Oil life Percent" dropped 90% after 300 gallons burned.

I think we can trust the meter.
But if you want to be conservative, use 250 gallons.

🤷🏻‍♂️

So if someone wanted to do around 5000 mile ICE interval oil changes, and if EPA estimated 33 mpg is correct for highway as probably almost all ICE - that's about 150 gal used.

Or if desiring that 1st oil change after 1000 break-in, then about 30 gal used.

I like that method - have to see how it fits in with OLM % as time goes on.

[Ancient thread, but...]
The OLM takes more than that into consideration.
