I'm sure there aren't many of you but I'm playing with the idea and upgrading to a JL wrangler, something a little nicer, more features and more capable for my intentions. Although I want to know, what was your trade in value? Any mods when you traded it in?

The dealership Ive been in contact with has a 22 xl AWD listed for 43000 with 20k km. Mine has 2300 km and a few things done to it, this makes me hopefully I could get what I'm thinking. The wrangler I'm looking at is listed at 39k.

Good luck. I know that if the new vehicle is 39 and they value your trade, they’ll offer lower so that they make $$… BUT… something I’ve done is… have them price your vehicle…. If it’s a number you like… get it in writing. Then go ahead and say… oh I like that JL. you have a trade in price locked and they can’t lower. I did this with my 2022 ram 1500 loaded for my wife’s 2022 VW Atlas loaded. Got a check for the difference.

Yea I accidentally clicked the value my trade like through the listing which instantly told them I was interested in that, I'm not completely dead set on it yet and would take it to a few other dealers, just trying to get some numbers thrown out

I paid $45,235 all in for my brand new Hybrid 2023 XLT w/ Lux package.

I called like 25 dealers within 200km of Toronto (maybe more) and told them all what model I'm looking for and colors I'd take. I got a call one morning and bought it within 15 min since I had already done all my research.

Within 2 weeks I had a call about a brand new Mav.

I know for sure that ecoboosts will be easier to get, so you should be able to get what you want.

Ironically the truck in the photo sold today and I was talking to the new owners who where interested in my rack. The dealer took it in on Sunday and it sold yesterday so there is obviously still a demand for even the EcoBoosts that people will pay 8k over mrsp.

This dealership offered 38k which is what I paid for mine tax in not including the 3k worth of wheels tires and paint, the next few days I'll be checking out a few other dealers to see what they offer.

Curious as to which dealer was able to make it happen for you? I've been taking the same approach now

Well it's official, almost. I got them to go down on the price of the wrangler instead of raising the trade it to save on tax reasons, straight trade before the doc fee. They gave me 38k for the Maverick. Likely will see it for sale around 44-45k. Had I had the money I would have paid it off and sold privately but figured saving the hassle and taking advantage of the tax savings for a trade in while the value of these are still high
