Canadian order to delivery wait times

My dealer has screwed something up. They are receiving August 2022 hybrid orders right now while I haven't been scheduled. I reached out September 2022 for my reorder and didn't get a preview to sign off on until January 2023. Ford Canada has now confirmed my order receipt is January 6th.

March 2022 order looking at another rollover and $3500 base XLT hybrid price increase. $6400 total increase from my original order 16 months ago. I'm done.

What a shitshow. Would not recommend anyone ever go to Kitchener Ford.

I originally ordered it on the week of Jul 17, and they made me come back a couple weeks later to re-do it since they 'forgot' about a form I needed to sign. I updated my order from a XLT to a Lariat at that time.

What number did you call for Ford Canada?
I'm curious to know what my dealer did about my order.

You'll need your order and dealer code and they can check status on your order. Most will only tell you it's in order processing but I got a really helpful guy last time who was able to tell me it looked like a 2022 rollover but wasn't entered until January.

Do you know if the order and dealer code are on the order form? Or would I need to contact the dealer for those?

If you have a DORA or order preview sheet it's on there, if you only have the dealerships in-house form they may or may not have chosen to put it on there.

On the order preview the sales code is the dealership and the order code is yours. You can also ask your dealer for the info.

Interesting... I got an update recently out of nowhere after roughly 10 months - same trim and package. Looks pretty random...

My dealer sent me an email with VIN and scheduled date.

Frankly? I have already given up a few months back, even bought a two year old Ranger instead..

After seeing all these wait times and the difficulty in getting one, I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on my hybrid when I did.

Yep, me too. Ordered mine the day Canadian order banks opened. The fact that banks are still open gives me cautious optimism that the eight months window my dealer estimated is close to correct. I don't like the wait (who does LOL) but thankfully I can afford to. Gives me more time to sock away an extra few grand!
