Have an Eco/boost that's already had a couple power modules and the actual battery replaced with a 760 CC/AMP AGM some months ago, now over the weekend the battery has completely drained twice Saturday/Sunday night even after a 3 hour freeway drive with no accessories plugged in etc and dead again this morning-

Anyone else find a long term solution to not having these electrical issues from re-occurring ?

This helps my hybrid. It fits snugly upright under the back seat. In hybrid it can be setup in jump mode and just use the built in switch.

Have an S/Type jump unit and although fully charged it would just give an error message. Luckily while camping a friend had another charge unit or I would have been SOL - New unit arriving today and then another dealer appointment -(

This is the first I'm hearing of Ecoboost having battery issues. What does the dealership say when you took it in for repair?

Don’t trust lithium ( older type) in hot storage… you discovered why the hardest way/ like I did. They just don’t have the power even it 100% if the thing is stored in hot area. The jumpbox I use is large and heavy from AGM battery, and can be back charged with AGM battery based 12v system like Mavericks so used like a secondary battery/ pass through for A/C and 12v DC needs.

The issue was a defective S/type charger- The 2nd unit (exact same model) jumped the Maverick in two seconds-

Yowsa- Going from bad to worse here- Left the dead truck all day on the battery charger, came home and started no problem. Let it sit for just 30 minutes and it's now completely dead ! How can a fully charged battery go dead in 30 minutes ? Nothing is attached- Just wow

Wow, check the engine…. Are you sure they didn’t slap a hybrid engine system instead. Yes with drain to beyond dead happen to me. Since its so bad can you recharge to start and safely drive to dealership?
30 mins has to be a record for any Maverick!

That sounds like a nightmare. I hope your state has good lemon laws.

First time hearing this on an Ecoboost.

Parasitic drains are an absolute nightmare to track down on a vehicle. In a lot of cases it is impossible from a practical point. I have seen manufacturers (Ford included) buy back newer vehicles with a parasitic drain that couldn't be resolved.

About the only way you can find these issues are by...........
  • Checking every ground point on all the wiring harnesses and sub harnesses.
  • Check all the individual connections at every point of every harness.
  • Check continuity and resistance on every pin.
  • Visually inspect every inch of the wiring harnesses, looking for pinches, punctures, and kinks.
  • Disabling and enable systems/circuits on the vehicle while running and monitoring it to look for anything that is out of specification.
Even the slightest short, anywhere, can cause these issues.

As I said, in practice the above is impossible as the cost to have a technician do this (warranty or not) is just incredible. You have to basically disassemble the entire vehicle in order to do the above.

Your issue could be as "simple" as a compromised wire because of a pinch under a seat, or floor. A slightly loose ground or connection can be the cause of it.
