Ford Hermosillo Plant Shutdown

That may explain why my build has stalled. Do you know someone that works there? First hand knowledge trumps guessing all day long.

Used to know someone who worked there but not now. I do have an indirect contact that can still provide some information like plant up and down time.

Hmmm. Our truck was built 13 days ago. Has not shipped. Does shut down affect shipping? And when is plant scheduled to re-open? thanks to all. d.

I can't speak to the Mexican plant but my local plant has a sub contractor that moves and loads finished units. A UAW worker drives them outside and an then the contractor takes over. Your truck is on the rail lot or on a car awaiting a full load.

Just got off chat and was told this as to why my Maverick is sitting in production for 12 days:

Your Maverick is technically still in the production phase on my end as well. However, the secondary status states "produced' . It hasn't moved to the "awaiting shipment" phase quite yet. It is built, but it will say that until it is moved to that stage if that makes sense. Your expected delivery date is between 28 August 23 - 3 September 23.

So.....for 12 days is has been sitting somewhere awaiting to go somewhere that says "Awaiting Shipment.

Those delivery dates look optimistic as how it has not shipped yet but expected in 19 -25 days.

Chat had no info on a potential plant shutdown as they are tracker people only.

Ford Chat the other day said something along the lines of that my trim was holdup

I also got an email about production delay... I am so hoping it isnt a supply constraint and just an automated email because of the plant shutdown.... Please let that be the reason! Xlt lux, hybrid, sibl, moonroof.

Someone that speaks spanish can call the plant and see if anyone answers. If so ask them.

Farley is driving a Lightning across the western half of the country right now so if anyone sees him at a charging port they can ask him.

The dealer has a system that can see the vehicle once it's on the train.

probably wishful thinking but if there is a rail car designated for his truck on the spur it is very likely all aboard awaiting a full load

My dealer told me it was on the train. They have an internal tracking system that shows the progress of shipping. The manager showed it to me on his computer monitor.

I got an email overnight that the Maverick is shipped. Luckily for me, I’m in KS and we have one of the main shipping yard points.
