You overestimate the rail network in this country. My Escape was trucked almost 400 miles across multiple state lines from Louisville Assembly to the dealer. At least northern Ohio is serviced from Wayne, MI (and potentially other ramps in the area).Just checked the rail shipping for the Maverick I ordered. Norfolk southern's phone line said it arrived at Wayne Michigan. The dealership I ordered from looks to be about 220 miles from the Michigan plant. I didn't think car haulers would travel that far to deliver to dealers.
I guess I underestimated them big-time lol. Winder sticker says ramp RA4G. I'm not familiar with the ramp layout. You overestimate the rail network in this country. What ramp does your window sticker list?
Another of those "other" is the rail depot at the Ohio Assembly Plant, my old plant. Avon Lake Ohio a couple miles from here. You overestimate the rail network in this country. LOL! But yes, RA4G is Wayne Assembly. Jack Cooper Transport keeps a lot full of haulers right across the street, they're always in and out of there. It wouldn't be a bad idea for them to have another ramp near Grand Rapids or something.I guess I underestimated them big-time lol. Winder sticker says ramp RA4G. Hopefully you get it soon! Makes you wonder, why doesn't the dealer just send one of their own employees down to pick them up instead of dealing with a hauler (when the dealer is that close)? Just take a Super Duty with a car trailer. My dealer said last week that my maverick is at the Wayne Michigan plant. Less than an hour from my Michigan dealer.
They may not want the liability for damage should something happen during transit.Hopefully you get it soon! You don't want your dealer sending an employee to go get your truck. They send the lowest paid employee to drive your veh back. When I was 17 I used to pick up extra work driving BMW and Porsche's from out of state when a customer wanted one that wasn't on the lot. I was kinder than most but those unbroken in motors got a lot of abuse crossing more than one state line.Hopefully you get it soon! My brother in law, who works for ford, said if the system says "wayne assembly" I could also still be at the rail yard in Chicago. Whoever transports the trucks via train is having issues with workers on strike.Hopefully you get it soon! brother in law is full of **it. rail union has agreed to hold fire to mid Nov at least. My brother in law, who works for ford, said if the system says "wayne assembly" I could also still be at the rail yard in Chicago. Whoever transports the trucks via train is having issues with workers on strike.

or maybe you're the one full of it and are just trolling folk waiting on their trucks repeating something you might of heard.Sounds like your an A**hole. But Maybe I misheard him. His kids were screaming on the back ground, when I talked with him. There is rail road delays though.
