Received a care package from my friends at UPR Products the other day for letting them use my truck for advertising and it turned out to be there new dual billet catch can system!

I originally had a cheap Amazon universal kit on my truck and while it did work it didn’t cover both clean and dirty sides. The install of the UPR kit is very straight forward and only Requires a basic socket set to install. Very high quality billet pieces and they add a little flare to the engine bay to. They fit perfectly with my S&B intake also if anyone was worried about fitment with aftermarket intake systems.

The idea of plug-an'-play, a.i. includes everything that one might need, seems very enticing.

Do you know what material the OCC diffuse uses? The website does not state that, but it does state that upgrade cost 30 bucks per OCC.

I would imagine it’s billet like the rest of the oil catch can but I cannot say for sure

Looks like a nice product and a relatively easy install.
Thx... This is by far the best kit for OCCs, no need to guess the hose size, fittings, etc. Mounting the the cans does not look bad either.

On the other hand, there is no information about the OCC diffuse material, indicated in the engineering drawing in my previous post. I'll contact them tomorrow for clarification.

And it works with the engine cover. Nice.

I'll be making this switch from the one I currently have that I'm not very impressed with.

For someone new to this, how much oil should you expect to catch? Is this something you check at every oil change or once a year or ???

I’d say you should check them every oil change, my cheap one caught a decent amount of oil and that was only on the “clean” side these direct injection engines are notorious for oil on the intake/intercooler piping

One can find all different type of reviews, but most of them are from the 2015-ish era like yours; this is froim the same era, but not so favorable:

https://www.f150forum.com/f7/upr-catch-can-review-what-mess-literally-305986/

Since then, UPR OCC changed in both size and the internal buffering filtration, but still includes the OEM fittings in the package and that is a definite plus. I am not certain, if the four ounce storage of the can is sufficient, especially when it should be emptied around 2.5-3.5 ounce.

As for performance, it probably performs as well as any other can, might be even better. If I get OCCs, UPR is the primary candidate at the moment, but still checking things....

I’m interested in getting the UPR kit, but was wondering what the “Extension” and “Billet Pro Series Check Valve” are when you add it to the cart on their website.

The extension just lets it have more capacity not sure in the check valve

Love the set up. Exactly what I'm about to have in mine. I'm glad to see it all fits.
I have the engine cover and Steeda tower brace now. UPR dual catch cans ready to install and waiting for the S&B intake to be delivered.
Were there any fitment issues with the Tower Brace and the S&B intake?

I got this kit for both the clean and dirty side. One thing I'd like if UPR made is if they can make the hose with their quick-connects for returning it back to stock.
Then I don't need to worry about the Ford factory brittle disposable piece.
