Makes me wonder if Ford will offer lower interest rates on the Maverick like they do for the other models.
The FED is likely raising interest at their meeting today. If Mavericks start setting on the lots like Buicks and Rams, low interest rates are likely. Until then... Navey Federal Credit union was still at 4.74% for 60 months last week.

Likewise, my maverick will be replacing a 2009 Hyundai Accent base model with manual-crank windows, so it will be a hell of an upgrade haha. Then I plan to drive the mav for at least 10 years, likely much longer. The rule in our house is only 1 car payment at a time costing no more than 5% of take home income. When a car is paid off we just keep putting that payment amount into a savings account and use it for the next down payment.
You have it down to a science! 👍🏼

Totally, when you pay yourself first and set limits based on take home income % rather than amounts or gross income, it makes knowing what you can afford a lot easier. Ppl here probably knew that already but I didn't learn this stuff until I educated myself at like 30 !!!

I picked up my hybrid this afternoon. The sales folks all said people had given up on waiting for Mavericks and didn’t convert. They also stated that they are not seeing many new order customers either.
This is excellent news s far as I am concerned, LOL. Maybe I will actually get a build date for my 2024 order!

There are currently online CHECKING accounts paying right at 5%...and 9-15 month CDs up to 5.75%. This is a good site to keep track. https://www.investopedia.com/best-cd-rates-4770214

I placed my rollover order early on the 17th. My salesman said I would have to come back when the order bank opened to sign the order. Since the system crashed, I went back early on the 18th to sign the order and I got a conformation email from Ford about an hour and a half later. Talked to my salesman today (not Maverick related) and he told me that only two other people have placed a new order since I placed mine. This is at a fairly large dealership.

What is the $500 Farm Bureau rebate? I have Farm Bureau (of Louisiana) for my auto and homeowner's insurance.
Log in to FB site using member number and password and find certificates. You can obtain several certificates each year for discounts from participating venders. You can get discounts on things from riding mowers, vehicles, fencing, credit card with Cashback, motel room discounts. (Generally things that. could be associated with a farm or ranch. Some states allow membership if you support local farmers in some way?). Having insurance from a "Farm Bureau Insurance Company" may not get automatic Farm Bureau Membership but likely would allow you to join "The Farmers Club". Think of it as a discount club like sams, Costco, veterans, over 55, AAA, etc. Hey maybe if you are a FB member you qualify for a discount on your homeowners and auto insurance. Ask your insurance agent???

Here's hoping!!! Though the Feds raised rates .25% today and media is reporting they'll likely raise them again in Sept. 😠 given I likely won't take delivery until sometime in Oct.

Even with the increase, a Lariat Hybrid is still at least $3k and as much as $5k cheaper than a similarly equipped small crossover hybrid (Escape, CRV, RAV4). And it is about $9k cheaper than a Honda Ridgeline RTL-E. I know a Ridgeline is a larger truck, it is what I currently drive, but that’s a big difference in price. For me, it still seems like a good deal and was worth placing an order.
I ran down to look at a Ridgeline when they first came out and found it too big and $8-9k over priced so I waited for maverick. I was in dealership today picking up my hybrid lariat and saw a Tremor on floor. Mine is in production this week and I can hardly wait,!!!!

Just thinking about the many comments in this thread about "flippers" of 2023 Mavericks. Am wondering if anyone out there actually ordered their Maverick during the very short open order bank last year with the specific intent of selling theirs shortly after it arrived.

IMHO, I suspect the folks that actually might have ordered a 2023 Maverick to flip it are few and far between. Given how the market turned out and the very generous offers people were getting turned more people who ordered a 2023 into a flippers way after they ordered/received theirs.

Would love to hear from anyone who planned flipping during the order window last year.

To me a flipper is anyone who buys a vehicle with the intent to sell it before it gets two years old.

I am in the same boat as you expecting a oct delivery, I thought I heard of ford honoring the lower rate from when you ordered the car? maybe it that isn't so?

Doubt it. I think they could move to fleet only sales tomorrow and move thousands of units.

I think they'd rather make/sell the Bronco Sport. They're asking $46,000 for the Heritage Edition. I just about had a heart attack when I saw that pricing.

There were no special rates for Maverick orders last September, so Ford will only honor rates in affect at time of delivery.
