I’ve seen some threads here that my circumstances would apply to many people here. Hopefully this may be helpful information.
The circumstances: I ordered a Maverick in 2022, with price protection, but I was not a Farm Bureau member in 2022. I joined Farm Bureau in 2023, at least 30 days prior to delivery. Took delivery of a Maverick in 2023.
Some were wondering if they could get the rebate and keep the price protection, if you weren't a member when you ordered. A few were having problems with the dealer applying the $500 rebate and keeping price protection.
I’m glad to say that last week I carried in my rebate certificate to the dealer on the day I took delivery and it was accepted without question. And I didn’t lose my price protection.
More info:
Anyone in the US can join the Illinois Farm Bureau for $20. Membership is annual from January 1st to December 31st, so no matter what day you join it will expire December 31st.
If you do not live in Illinois, you cannot join using the online form. After entering all your info, it will malfunction every time. You will have to call 309 663-6497. Have a debit or credit card ready. You’ll talk to a live person, not an automation.
30 days after you join you can print your $500 rebate certificate. It will expire on January 2nd of the next year (I don’t know why they give you one extra business day). If you take delivery after January 2nd, you’ll have to pay for another year of membership and print another certificate (assuming Farm Bureau renews the rebate for another year).

The rebate is accepted on a voluntary basis by the dealer. They are not requited to participate. The dealer may require you to wait until they receive the rebate, then forward the $500 to you. You can’t use the rebate with any of A, X, Z, or D plans.
If your dealer has trouble applying the rebate, ask them to call 888 322-5862 (that number is on the rebate certificate). Or ask them to contact their Sales and Inventory Manager or head of the region.
Finally, I didn’t do it this way, but it looks to me that if you are ordering a Maverick (instead of buying from dealer stock) you could wait until the day you get the picked for production email to to join the Farm Bureau.
