I still don't think there is much competition to the Maverick if you want a small truck. Maybe Santa Cruz but people don't seem to like them as much. Small hybrid truck? There is no competition rn.

I'm seeing Maverick add pop ups today. I never saw that much before today. And the order banks are still open.
Of course no maverick for me. My dealer must not have allocations. I can't get a straight answer from the sales guy.
So my question to FORD is;
I ordered a Maverick last Sept. crickets so far. What if a dealer has no allocations. Does that mean no maverick? Maybe that's why some folks have been waiting for over a year. Bad system; to get a truck you have to research to find a dealer who has allocations. WTF!
You should find a dealer willing to tell you what their allocation is and how many orders they have. I feel for you if you live in a remote area without a lot of options but if you really want a Maverick it may be worth your while to place an order with a dealer closer to a population center who is willing to share allocation numbers with you.

I don't doubt the OP, but I offer these anecdotes to consider from a large (20K member) Maverick FB group I'm in.

1. Some folks are being told their dealership is only doing rollovers and not net new '24 orders.

2. Another person was told that their dealership started with more rollovers than their '24 allocation and they took a few new orders but are going to stop accepting them.

Regarding item #1 I think it's possibly true if a dealership has a large backlog of hybrids and a would-be new customer order is definitely a hybrid. Equally possible, in my mind, is that the salesperson is wrong and thinking of the MY23 Bronco issue. (MY23 Broncos did not open for orders at all last summer/fall, they only did rollovers, and then finally orders opened in March '23 when the backorder volume had been substantially reduced. And no Base models could be ordered, but anyway, enough Bronco.)

Also several people seem to believe that orders are about to close. I have not seen a single person I would consider well-informed state this.
Tim from Long McArther said that were not taking new 24 orders.

Actually Ford is. They squandered two years of incredible opportunity with poor planning, horrible execution and God awful customer relations. Now they want to cash in.

I have no doubt they will to a certain extent but the windfall will be nothing like it could have been had Ford planned to/wanted to produce 500,000 Mavericks a year from the get-go.

At the MY24 prices, and given the fact that no one will see a 24 until 2024, most potential customers will now shop the competition much more seriously than they may have in 22 or 23 when the Maverick presented such an obvious and compelling value.
I know what you are saying. It would have been nice if Ford had the capacity to build 500,000 Mavericks early on.

But wouldn't that take at least two other factory's to do? I assume that planning for an early high production number like that would cause a long delay in the launch of the Maverick.

That scenario could mean that there would be no Maverick's produced until when?

I stopped by dealer on Tuesday, late morning, and they already had 20 Maverick orders for 2024 - and about half were 2023 rollovers. I was number 21. For a smallish dealership, I think that was quite a few.

When I texted with my salesman on Monday he said they placed 2 new orders that day. I was going to be a reorder until magic Thursday happened and I was scheduled for Sept.

Dropped by a dealership in my area last week. They had 32 scheduled in MY23 and 22 carried over to 24. They received 53 allocations for MY24 so they can take 31 new orders.

Well, our 400 from last year that didn't get scheduled. We've had to turn away a ton of people.

So when you do sales those do they count in the monthly sales for ford ? Or how does that work ? It counts a maverick sold regardless of model year right ?

Doesn't count as a sale until they purchase the vehicle after it comes in.

High interest rates, Dealers bending over customers on over msrp prices, attitudes of how many dealers act. Not surprised. I only ordered 24 as its a rollover 23. Wanting a hybrid the price increase does hurt buyers. However this is all speculation as many posts. This community is great but its a echo chamber and doesn't represent the true depend on the market. Even being in the mid 30s, it will continue to sell well.

I ordered in New Mexico at Power in Albuquerque. We’re moving from Honolulu in the next year. This time I’m getting the ACC, Stereo and fob that should have been on my xlt lux that I still have not received after 635 days. With my luck it will beat me to New Mexico 😂
I lived in Moanalua Valley for 7 years. Miss a lot of things about Hawaii.
