Yeah but Ford is killing Customer Praise because it takes an act of Congress to get issues addressed. Customer service is horrendous, I could be an advocate by saying how great the Maverick is but my Warranty experience will not let me lie like that. Clearly Ford has no idea that we customers have weight

My small-town family dealership had three rollovers from what I was able to discern from the GM. Also learned that they had taken more '24 preorders than they got allocations for. They were not taking anything more. It was never mentioned how many '23's they got. I suspect my '23 was unbuilt for lack of allocation. Was not told that. But, was not denied when I told them I suspected that was what happened. If course hybrid constraints were mentioned too. Was there on Monday shortly after order banks opened. No other Maverick orderees(?) present. System finally allowed order in, but churned for quite awhile before accepting. I did not stay the whole time, but my confirmation email timed 25 minutes after I left at 6:55 PM EST. I was their first my'24 Maverick order.

Have only looked at the first page of this thread, but I would assume that if my preorder was coming up to actually be ordered I would have had a call by now.
You should also get an email from Ford if you provided that info with the preorder. As long as the order banks are still open you have a chance to order elsewhere. I would check at this point, hopefully they got enough allocations to cover their preorders.. The dealers know what they got for allocations this year, even if they won't tell you.

I love my Cactus Gray XLT, but wife really hates the physical key and wants the smart entry/pushbutton start. So, Lariat here we go... $$$$$$$
i’d have to agree with your wife, but in our household, we made a compromise. I have the XL hybrid in area 51 which I absolutely love. And she ended up getting a Honda CRV hybrid. The build quality in the CRV is far superior to what we’ve got in our Mavericks in any trim.

Ford is using these significant price increases and mandatory option bundles to raise their average selling price on Maverick to restrict demand in to line with their ability to produce. Congratulations to Ford--looks like they've succeeded, largely eliminating the bargain that was the Maverick.

In summer 2021 we were not even in the market for a new car of any kind, but like... What? $19,950?? For a truck? Anyone employed is in the market for that! It turned out to be a great vehicle, far exceeding expectations--we love our Mav. Everyone that sees it or drives it loves it. We avg. around 45mpg. Such a no brainer--we ordered a 2nd one (2023) which just arrived. But in the end the low price point was the driver that's now been largely eliminated. At $30K+ there are other economical options for new cars especially considering many state and federal incentives for EVs that blatantly discriminate against Hybrids--a much more sensible choice for the masses.

My main sales rep at my local Ford dealership told me that she’s only had 7 orders so far. Last year they 60 in the same time period. This is the entire dealership, 7 orders. I know it’s antidotal but that’s pretty shocking. What are you all seeing?

I may have been right…Only the official numbers will tell though.

I ordered in New Mexico at Power in Albuquerque. We’re moving from Honolulu in the next year. This time I’m getting the ACC, Stereo and fob that should have been on my xlt lux that I still have not received after 635 days. With my luck it will beat me to New Mexico 😂

If you use an inflation calculator for 2021 (The maverick went on sale in 2021) $19,950 in 2023 is $22,463. So Ford is certainly not just factoring in inflation into the price.

Yes, but didn't they take like 800 orders last year?
According to Tim they got screwed because Ford changed the allocation formula on them and they took way more orders than actual allocations.

I certainly wouldn't argue with that.

Between the increase and wait, it has worked for me.
I have decided my existing truck (2013) has a new lease on life. I will wait to see what ‘25 has to offer.
The build price I need is approaching other trucks. Seems better to say goodbye to Ford Maverick for now.
Current pricing puts Mav smack into the competition now. So there are many options. Also, people want to order something they can get, so the desire for a new hybrid with new pricing doesn't balance with not having the vehicle for a year or more. The past is quickly arriving for the Mav.

I think people are getting an education on how a market driven economy works.
