I can answer for Tim because on his last livestream he stated that they are not taking any new MY24 orders as their unscheduled MY23 orders exceed their MY24 total allocations.
Damn must be a lot then

The dealer I ordered from for MY24 said they had something like 350 orders to submit, when I called after 24hrs asking why I hadn't gotten the confirmation from Ford yet (Galpin, North Hills).

He didn't say they were all Mavericks per se but I can't imagine what else they could be. (I did get the confirmation email shortly after that call if you were curious).

My main sales rep at my local Ford dealership told me that she’s only had 7 orders so far. Last year they 60 in the same time period. This is the entire dealership, 7 orders. I know it’s antidotal but that’s pretty shocking. What are you all seeing?
My dealer ran out of allocations on the 18th

Likely 3/4 of those are super duty orders. Either way, quite a bit.

I was at Galpin at 7:30am on Monday waiting for the sales department to open so I could put in my order. I had been in contact with them for four months prior.

I still have no order information from them but they tell me they're on top of it.

I specifically drove to Galpin from OC because Galpin should have the largest allocation in the country and they told me they should have plenty of space for my lariat tremor (XLs were hotter)

raising the price, not improving the vehicle (heck if anything making it worse) and not making people's trucks that were ordered a long time ago adds up to some pretty frustrated people that are going to move onto something else.

My 23 XLT Hybrid just arrived and I now plan to sell it. I've had my Corolla Hybrid for a few months (after waiting 5 months for it to be built) now and am loving 55 mpg. While a truck is more flexible and would make certain occasions more enjoyable I have a hard time with the idea of selling the car and I'm not in a situation where two new cars makes sense financially (1st new car in my life was the Corolla and I dont do auto loans).
Wait now some dealers are not taking any new orders at this time ,as you know the have to many roll over 23 and pointless to take them.
Mine has 50 long lM has 400 ect ,you see, they could open up again later on

I genuinely wonder how much “phantom” demand was created by folks futilely ordering multiple vehicles from different dealers.
I ordered and purchased 2 Mavericks from 2 dealers. One truck got traded for another and I made a small profit, and that truck is now out there being driven by someone else. It's obviously not a phantom when it sells.

If Ford wants to stop it, they can make COVP a hard requirement and throw out orders under the same name or address. I might be in favor of that at the 3+ level, maybe 4+, to stop flippers and SMB owners buying retail instead of fleet. But everything I've seen shows that Ford is not trying to stop multiple orders.

Even with competing models, the maverick will still have strong sales, due to price and fuel economy. Of course they won't be "crazy" like the past 2+ years, but strong enough to sell every maverick built in the near future. Ford doesn't need or probably WANT the craziness of the past 2+ years of mavericks, pissing off customers who leave and don't come back, they just need and want to sell every maverick they can at msrp with no incentives. Just my .02
Completely agree. A lot of negative responses on here but I think you are absolutely right. Ford will be just fine.

Spending 32k-36k to make 4k just isn’t worth. Before it was 6k-10k profit margin with prices raised is just not worth the hassle for a flipper
What if you borrow the entire amount and sell the truck before you ever make a payment?
