I dropped off my Hybrid Lariat at my dealer for the wiring repair Monday morning. The truck was ready for pickup on Wednesday morning. My invoice showed they billed Ford for 2.2 hours labor and $672.00 in parts. They did not charge the battery before I picked it up and I have only driven it 20 miles. Ford Pass still shows it to be in deep sleep mode. I will be taking a 40 mile drive on Sunday and hopefully that will wake it up.
Mine now goes into Deep Sleep almost daily. Dealer "thinks" this wiring harness "may" fix the issue, though I know it won't. My truck is charging the battery properly while driving, +14v, but the battery drops to 12.2v as soon as you turn the truck off.

I will probably take it to a different dealer if they won't replace the battery and try my luck there. Otherwise, I'll just replace it myself and be done with it.

It might take a certain number of drive cycles (so many minutes and/or miles whatever Ford calls a drive cycle) for the notice of a deep sleep event to automatically rotate off Ford pass!(??)! Or possibly manually reset, of course.

I actually got a new deep sleep message this morning after driving it about 5 miles. When I drove it back home, I did not get a new message. Previously I would get a message soon after I parked it just about every time I drove it, except on my longer drives. I just checked my vehicle dashboard on Ford.com and the deep sleep message is gone from there, even though it is still on the app.

It has been posted that using forscan it was discovered that the hybrid ice 12v FLA battery was showing for an unknown reason to be an AGM so presumably the bms was trying to charge using the profile for an AGM???? Might ask dealer to verify proper charge profile???? I would consider replacing battery myself as a last resort solution while placing the suspect battery on a smart 10amp charger with recovery mode to heal it's ills. I would then most likely have a good backup.

Well, once AGAIN, it worked for three days...then another dead/no-start situation. I hooked up jumper cables, started right away. So, it's now back at the dealership, and thankfully, I was able to get a loaner vehicle.
Three times, two dealerships, and it's still not fixed.

Ran into this at my dealer, they won't replace unless it is broken. Even showed the letter saying Ford is covering the cost. I guess I will go on a dealer quest to see who knows how to read
I would suggest calling them in. Also located on the letter you received is the following : If you have difficulties getting your vehicle repaired promptly and without charge, please contact your dealership's Service Manager for assistance. RETAIL OWNERS: If you have questions or concerns, please contact our Ford Customer Relationship Center at 1-866-436-7332 and one of our representatives will be happy to assist you. If you wish to contact us through the Internet, our address is ford.com/support. For the hearing impaired call 1-800-232-5952 (TDD). Representatives are available Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Eastern Time). Or call 1-800-392-3673 which is the Ford Customer service number. Dealerships like that should have their franchise revoked.

Seeing as you’re in Dearborn, MI, get on the horn to corporate and raise hell. Better yet, show up and raise a stink. There’s got to be an engineer at corporate that can figure out what is happening.

I've charged my battery with a smart charger overnight more than once. It's still drops down to 12.2 to 12.3 volts soon after unplugging it.

I think I recall looking in Forscan and seeing the option to change it to AGM. So I believe mine's set to the proper profile, I may check again.

When you charge it do not hook negative to battery post hook it to body ground. Manual warns that bms is located on battery neg and nothing at all should be hooked there.

My battery is always at 12.2-12.3 before starting. After starting, it jumps to 14.xx and stays there. I have never had a problem in over 26,000 miles. Interior lights always come on bright and strong upon opening the door.

Also, I do not use any apps, Ford pass or whatever the heck it’s called. Everything that I can shut off is off. Does doing all of this help? Dunno, but my MAV has been void of any starting problems Since the day I picked it up from the dealer over a year ago.

If I had known this I would have not brought it in until they ordered the part, or went to a different dealer.
My dealership said they couldn’t order the part until o brought the truck in. Then they needed the truck all day — just to order the part.

I told them they need to get the parts department on board to take care of this ordering in 20 minutes, while the customer waits. They said LOL.

So, the problem with your truck appears to be corrected? I realize it has only been a short time since, but I'd love to hear any specifics about what the solution ended up being for you.

I am confident that either the CSP 22B39 (or the TSB 22-2340 that preceded it) would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was never able to get either of these performed, possibly and partly due to Ford's ambiguous troubleshooting process with a vague "wiggle test", which apparently didn't reproduce the problem at the moment it was tested (assuming it was). My own testing during the events typically yielded >12.6V at the underseat battery location vs. 0V to 3.5V at the underhood jump location.
Two Ford dealerships tested this condition and said it did not exist, even though I continued to have the intermittent no-power condition and relying on the Noco GB-40 after manually unlocking the Maverick with a physical key. I described my results of the voltage measurements to one of the service advisors and he seemed understanding, but shrugged and said his "Ford-certified hybrid expert" had the final say.
Nevertheless, not being able to get this resolved, coupled with the botched airbag recall, with no help from Ford corporate, led me to part with the once-adored vehicle on July 4.
Based on other forum member's experiences, this problem can be quickly and effectively resolved by a competent dealership service department. Unfortunately, I expended more than ample time and effort with the two closest Ford dealerships, both without resolution.
