My Tremor dilemma

So here is my dilemma, last January I ordered a 22 FX4 4k XLT and have loved it and put 20,000 miles on it since getting it last April. I ordered a 23 XLT Tremor last September when the order banks opened. The Tremor got built this week and shipped. What should I do? The valve of my 22 seems higher then I was thinking. I do really enjoy my FX4 and have been happy with the milage too. Is the Tremor going to be much lower on MPG or will I not notice?

Dude, get that Tremor and don't think twice about it. You'll be kicking yourself if you don't and you know it. Loss in MPG's? Negligible. Is your current one lifted?

Would you sell your current one privately?

I guess that's the real question. If you would go negative because of it then I'd say no. Finances above all else, but I'm guess you planned all that out when you placed the order for the Tremor.

I am not going to guess at something I do not know, but I have looked at numerous posts on Tremor mileage and it appears to be considerably lower. If you are happy with what you have, keep it; if not, sell it and get Tremor. Worst part would be to get rid of something you KNOW you like to buy something you HOPE you will like.

I am not sure what kind of gas mileage you are getting but I have a Lariat Tremor and I just did a 8 hour road trip going 80 essentially the whole time with some blips of construction here and there slowing that down, and I got roughly 23.3mpg, was sitting at 23.8 and 23.9 a bit during the trip, but ended at 23.3 and that was with the built in mpg system. Actaully calculating it based on the gas i put back in i got 22.97mpg. I had just me and the girlfriend and our luggage in the truck bed under a toneau cover.

I hope that helps some in your decision. I will say I love my Tremor, but I only test drove another Maverick once and that was 9 months ago or whenever I placed my order, so I can't really compare to a Fx4 or anything, but I really like how it rides with the Tremor package and the asthetic of the front bumper and minor lift.

If you net positive go for it. Personally I think the Tremor looks better, and it rides better than any other maverick. The only real reason not to, is you need 4k towing.

Either truck is likely to sell above your cost, assuming you bought at MSRP or less. Maybe a slight edge to the Tremor, due to (lack of) availability.

When the Tremor comes in, do a THOROUGH test drive, then decide which to keep/sell. Tremor FE should only be a couple MPG below your FX4 on a comparative average.

I would keep the truck I enjoy the most. Appreciate your good fortune.

Here's one more Picture of my current FX4. I do have a leveling kit and K02 All terrains which I had the dealer install before I ever took it home. Which I'm sure reduced my MPG by a few miles. I did pay invoice for my current one and will pay invoice for the Tremor when it arrives. I also got the appearance package and am excited to see that in person

I sold my tremor and kept the hybrid xl. Was a mistake and ended up selling the hybrid and I’m buying another tremor haha It truly transforms the truck imo. I was dumb to sell it.

Somewhat but not much. I sold it to a fan of my channel who got screwed by her dealership. Made about $2k overall. Made $7k off the hybrid. This is after taxes and all of that.

I originally ordered FX package XLT and when the Tremor opened up I jumped on it and I'm glad I did it was worth it I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you don't like it you should be able to sell it very quick. Not sure how heavy your foot is but you should do around 23 MPG I am at 25 MPG Steady with a 60% Hwy 40 City driving.

Sell your current one for a profit and keep the Tremor.

Pay cash or finance (if possible of course) the Tremor and drive it while waiting for your title plus maybe an additional month and then decide which one you had rather keep then sell the other one.
