I'm currently touring around my dad's place in McAllen TX today I saw 3 Mavericks but easily 9 or 10 Santa Cruzs. Yet Ford has built 3 times as many. Crazy stuff.

Hahahaha...one is in transit which means it was a order from a buyer ( not the dealer). Unless they refuse it..no way it sells for that price imho...while the other add spells out that there will beIn that price range, you can pickup a Maverick XLT Hybrid at the dealer in my neck of the woods:

Doubt it....first one is not a dealer vehicle but rather for a private buyer in transit. Unless the buyer backs out no way the dealer sells it at that price. The second listing says in the add that there will be further dealer markups...unfortunately adds listingMaericks especially the Hybrid get listed even when the vehicle has a buyer that ordered it and is waiting for it to get to the dealer to pick it up.In that price range, you can pickup a Maverick XLT Hybrid at the dealer in my neck of the woods:

I can give you a few....better ride, better handling, better towing, better standard features, better warranty, less recalls and less TSB's....but for mileage the Hybrid gets that by a mile..otherwise lots of reasons for going with a Santa Cruz if you aren't stuck on the "truck' look compared to the SCWhy would any sane person consider a Hyundai?
/s... kinda.

In our very small rural town we have seen 4 Santa Cruz ad 2 Mavericks... in town. Pretty surprised by that as well...I'm currently touring around my dad's place in McAllen TX today I saw 3 Mavericks but easily 9 or 10 Santa Cruzs. Yet Ford has built 3 times as many. Crazy stuff.
Is this a Hyundai forum?Only found one at a large dealer (a black, AWD, top of the line). was told by a sales man (after an computer search) that there were only 2 SEL's in the state of AZ. One stock and one with $3k of options. So I concluded that a SEL SC was not likely available for less than MSRP. So, my brothers, if you are thinking about an SC it ain't going to be cheap. LOL
Why are people posting about the Santa Cruz? I get it that people do not like to wait but this is the Maverick Truck Club, not the Santa Cruz Car club.Only found one at a large dealer (a black, AWD, top of the line). was told by a sales man (after an computer search) that there were only 2 SEL's in the state of AZ. You're in the VS THE COMPETITION part of the forum. Why is this so hard for some people to comprehend. Why are people posting about the Santa Cruz? I get it that people do not like to wait but this is the Maverick Truck Club, not the Santa Cruz Car club.
The Santa Cruz isn’t real competition, at least not to the hybrid. One is marketed as a truck, the other isn’t.You're in the VS THE COMPETITION part of the forum. Why is this so hard for some people to comprehend.
Know nothing about the SF ( Santa Fe) but I can compare both the SC (Santa Cruz) and Maverick since I've owned both and in my case the SC was much cheaper than a Maverick with close to the same equipment.Dang it! Every time I see a SF they are more expensive than the week before.
Wait, I never wanted one in the first place.
I’m good.
...normally this is where I point out that any cross shopped vehicle is "competition," but saying the Santa Cruz (a small unibody truck) isn't a direct competitor to the Maverick is about the most buck wild take I've ever seen. The Santa Cruz isn’t real competition, at least not to the hybrid. Where in SC? When I went shopping dealers in SC wanted more than msrp. One dealer tried to sell me a used Maverick?I haven't had that problem yet on my SC. Didn't have it on my Maverick either but than again I only had the Maverick for about a month while I've had the SC for 7 months. But than again I park in places far away from other vehicles as possible with all my vehicles and even than I got a ding in my door of my Crosstrek....some folks just don't give a shet.
Hyundai doesn’t call it a truck. They market it as a sport adventure vehicle. “Our first-ever Sport Adventure Vehicle is built to pack all that you can into each day…”...normally this is where I point out that any cross shopped vehicle is "competition," but saying the Santa Cruz (a small unibody truck) isn't a direct competitor to the Maverick is about the most buck wild take I've ever seen.![]()
