Only found one at a large dealer (a black, AWD, top of the line). was told by a sales man (after an computer search) that there were only 2 SEL's in the state of AZ. One stock and one with $3k of options. So I concluded that a SEL SC was not likely available for less than MSRP. So, my brothers, if you are thinking about an SC it ain't going to be cheap. LOL

After owning a Hyundai Kona I would say anyone who thinks the metal on the Maverick is thin would definitely not like a SC if it has the same metal thickness. I had door dings all over that car in less than a year and some were bigger than dings. Just saying…

Most in my area (Charlotte NC) are over $40,000! Not a bargain!

I had a Kona and got rid of it because of a recall. I thought it was a good car until I traded it for a 2022 Civic. Gonna trade the Civic for a Maverick.

Bought mine in December and got it for $1000 under MSRP. Had to travel from Tennessee to South Carolina since everyone around my home state wanted $2000 over MSRP. Someone on this board said when they looked they could find them for $1500 under MSRP. I have an SEL AWD with the only options being the towing package and the premium paint...was $30.5k before tax and license. Got a 4 year loan for 0% interest by Hyundai MC. Also got 3 years free service and of course the 10 year warranty. I learned a long time ago sometimes to get a deal you need to be willing to look outside your immediate area if the dealers in your area are known for jacking up prices.

Did you find the discount on their website or have to call in to find out about it?

Order one than. Last I heard it was like a 2-3 month wait. Get it equipped like you want and unless you want the top o the line loaded you can get it a lot cheaper than that. Just did a quick search around here and within 300 miles found some between $29.7 to $44k depending on the model and options. Most including the $29,7 were AWD..

It was discounted on their website. Called and said I will be buying it and they held it for me driving up there the next day to pick it up. They needed to prep it anyway so waiting a day was no big deal. Since than I have found deals closer to home since they were around 330 miles away.

I don't know if I drive like an old fart or not but I'm averaging 28.65 MPG in my SEL AWD. That includes rural driving and city driving and if you've ever been to Tennessee you would know thats not flatland..

I haven't had that problem yet on my SC. Didn't have it on my Maverick either but than again I only had the Maverick for about a month while I've had the SC for 7 months. But than again I park in places far away from other vehicles as possible with all my vehicles and even than I got a ding in my door of my Crosstrek....some folks just don't give a shet.

AZ is about 100,000 sq miles; would have to drive maybe 500 mi;es w/ 2 trades; don't think so. Also I think there are a lot less cars than Dec. Might make sense to order a 24 SC if you can abide the MPG. LOL

In that price range, you can pickup a Maverick XLT Hybrid at the dealer in my neck of the woods:

Here in NC, they're plentiful and selling for $1,500 below MSRP. Odd that AZ is so different. Maybe not, since we're close to the factory?
