Driving this morning - Center screen locked up and reloaded

I was driving this morning using my phone in bluetooth on my 2023 XL. All of the sudden the sound went out. I looked at my phone and it looked like it was still playing. I touched the center display and no reaction. I touched Source and nothing. After a minute the screen went blank and the Ford logo appeared with the blue oval. It connected to my phone and started working again.

Anyone else getting this?

BTW, the driving display did not appear to be impacted.

Not quite the same, but I recently had my Google Maps navigation on the Infotainment screen stop showing the map. No button or screen pressing would get me back "into" Google Maps to see my route or cancel it or edit it or anything. But it would still verbally give me turn by turn directions over the Maverick speakers. So I had to complete my drive with no visuals, only audio directions.

I had similar incident about 2 months ago. Was not using bluetooth, just normal radio when it shut down & screen went black. I hit off/on button couple times but nothing. Then like you, after a minute or so, blue Ford screen came up & I turned on radio as if nothing happened.

We had problems with connections early on. We don't use Navigation much but it seems like we refreshed either Bluetooth on phone or maybe Google maps on phone. May have been a syncing problem with weak phone signal strength.

I had my backup camera suddenly stop working and then my radio decided to stay on when I removed the key. The head unit was entirely unresponsive. I did a reset on the head unit and immediately returned to normal ops. To do a soft reset (thank you Mav Truck Club), with the key in the ignition, press and hold the Radio On/Off and the FWD (>>>) buttons until it resets.

at least 2 times a month ,some times more my radio turns on in mute!! i try the mute button on and off but the only thing that gets it back is a reset!!

Yes. This happen to me today for the 3rd time. I tried unplugging the cable to my phone and plugging it back in but that didn't seem to matter. Then later on it started working again. I had an issue before that where my backup camera would not display.

Is it possible that this is an automatic upload/download? Do you have the little up/down arrows near the top right of the screen?
I don't have my Maverick yet but the EcoSport I am driving has SYNC and there is a number 4 next to the arrows - I guess this means there have been 4 upload/downloads .

Sounds like the infotainment computer just crashed and rebooted itself. Happens to all types of computers (phones, laptops, etc.) from time to time. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it starts happening frequently

No sync on mine.

I had mine freeze while using Google Navigation thru USB port. The map image stayed frozen on the screen, no radio control, no backup camera function. Turned vehicle off while getting gas, on start up everything back to normal.

The other day I had to reboot the display console because it wouldn’t react. Hold the power button and next track for a few seconds. Also lost Bluetooth connection on many occasions.
