What is the problem with my screen, it is locked up

Waze had the screened locked up asking me to look at an update. I ended up removing Waze from
my phone. Now the screen is locked on the app screen. If I push on exit it takes me to Google maps
and I see the car going down the road. I cannot get any audio. I hit the volume button and the radio
does not come on. I hit the Audio button on the screen and nothing happens.

Do I need to reset something? Instructions please. Thank you.

There is a radio reset you can do.

Soft reset of the system

With ignition on, press and hold the seek up ( >> ) button and also the on/off/volume knob.

Wait for the screen to go dark, then release both controls.

Give it a minute to reboot but it should be back to working after that.

So I parked it. Waited a few hours. Put in the key and all is good. Now at least I know how to reset it if I have a problem like this again. Thank you Ben and Colin.

I had to do that with my 23 Lariat right after I got it. The NAV screen showed my position about a half mile of the road, and had the direction wrong.
That's why I always have a Garmin along on any kind of trip where I am REALLY going to need GPS help.

Notorious for this.. get used to it and prepared. And no, don't let them tell you it's your cables etc... it's that the infotainment unit is a pos.
