Just got off the phone with a Ford CSR for order status.

Order no longer in system. She checked further and determined mine was cancelled because dealer did not COVP my order.

Salesperson took my DL at time of order and in conversations with him several times since 9/17/2022 assured me COVP was done.

Congrats to everyone that received an email today.

Dear DAVID CALABRESE,
Big things are happening right now. We are excited to let you know your 2023 Maverick XL SuperCrew has been scheduled for production. Your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of July 24, 2023.

In your Built Order Status email, we will provide you an estimated delivery window of when your vehicle will arrive at Bell Ford, Inc.. While you wait, check out the status of your vehicle at any time by clicking the button below.
We have included your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for your reference: 3FTTW8E93PRA79403.

That really sucks. My heart goes out to you, really. A dealer that not only does not do their job but lies about it as well and now here you are. Simply horrible.

I am so excited for you guys who are maybe seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

The Mav is a really fun truck to drive, and I’ve had enough trucks to know the difference. You will love it.

My father in the early 1970’s;
” They’re making cars with UNIBODIES!!! They can’t do that! Cars need FRAMES! That’ll never work!”

Yeah, right Dad.…
Thanx. We are totally psyched on this end. This is a happy day in Bob the Builder Land. Remained totally optimistic on this end. Of course had my weak moments like going and looking at Tacos which I like, but realized that they were a distant second choice and the Maverick was the truck for me. I liked the tech in the SC, but my pickups need just a bit more testosterone than those offer. Hahahaha.

Are you saying my Maverick will be more fun to drive than any of my 3 Rangers I have had over the past 33 years? Hahahahaha, I am willing to bet you are correct.

Dad's may not be always right, but they are never wrong. :D

I had a 1990 Ford Ranger 4X 4.0 which was actually pretty fun to drive at the time. It was more sophisticated than trucks had been up to that time, pretty fast too. With a chip, dual exhaust and a K&N Filtercharger it went 0-60 in 9.5 which was a 1/2 second faster than stock.

My hybrid would blow its doors off.

This absolutely sucks. So sorry….. If I was in your shoes I would be meeting with the sales manager at a minimum and perhaps even the general manager of the entire dealership to get an understanding of how you had been lead to believe you had a valid order when in reality you didn’t. Depending on the outcome of that discussion I might even take it to Ford Corporate.

I went into the dealer here in SE Michigan yesterday and was essentially told that there is no rhyme or reason to how they select orders and that adding/removing options wont make a difference. Another customer removed a ton of stuff and still wasn't selected. Priority code doesn't seem to matter either.

Reading between the lines they are looking at moving most of the orders to MY24 and are expecting a "couple thousand $" price increase. Im order 424 from 9/16/22... Lariat Hybrid. Guess we'll see.
how do you know you're order 424?

The one thing this group has helped define and establish is how much Fords communication, transparency and organization sucks! So sad to see a great company swirling around the drain. I’m not getting my hopes up that this will be my week. Eventually, you just give up!
The Poor communication and customer service giving is a Choice made by Ford. It is impossible for them to not know how bad it is, yet they persist. Even though I want and would or will buy a Maverick Truck, I have zero confidence in the Ford Motor Company. I would not consider investing in Ford even as low as the Stock price is now. They need to do better.

Probably will be one more for September and first half of October.

My communication from Ford was perfect. I got a confirmation email on my order while I was still at the dealership. 2 days later I got an email to confirm my email address. Then I got two 45 day notices and in January the email saying my Ecoboost was scheduled for production. Then an email saying production was shifted back a week, confirmation it had been built the Monday of that week, confirmation it had shipped, 2 emails about arrival date (the update was correct.)

I asked my salesperson to change the color in October and confirmed that via phone call to Ford.

If you are not getting communications from Ford you and/or the dealer did something wrong. If you are not getting scheduled for an Ecoboost you should look into why. If you are not getting scheduled for a hybrid you know it is a lottery.
Standard Disclaimer: Your Mileage May Vary

Dealers are Different from one to the next.

But Ford Motor Company is Ford Motor Company, and the Communications that I have received from Ford Motor Company has been Subpar and Lackluster. From what I read in these Forums, that seems to be the norm.

Email received this morning at 10:30 eastern.
Silver XL Hybrid with inverter and hitch.
Ordered 9/16 through mountain view Ford in Chattanooga. I'm located in Knoxville. Estimate date of August 28th.

I bought a used Ridgeline last Friday. Found a great deal on a base model with low miles. They couldn't sell it to me because they were waiting on a part to fix an open recall. Put $500 down March. They called last week to say the part is in and I could come in to close on Friday. Loving the Ridgeline.

And now this news about the Maverick. Not sure what I'm going to do yet, but I have a while to think about it.
My brother has a Ridgeline that I was able to recently drive for a couple of weeks. Nice ride and will be high on my list if for some reason the Maverick does not work out. Good Luck!
