Hello,

I have a Ford Maverick Ecoboost XL and have never had a problem with any seats in any vehicle... however, the ford maverick seats have been super painful for me and can't understand why. I sit with my legs out pretty wide and I believe it is due to the side bolstering on the seats being buldged out and really hard foam. I have tried 6 different seat cushions and none help. It is really impeding on the experience of my Ford maverick. Has anyone else had this problem? and know a fix? Please don't comment if you are just going to say it is comfortable for you as that doesn't help my issue. Thank you

Wish you a Speedy Resolution, that can't be pleasant. I deal with arthritis, bone spurs, etc, realize pain is no fun.

Left ass cheek. Note that ive never had pain in any car seat except the maverick. Even when I drive other cars today. The pain only comes from the maverick

Have you tried adjusting the seat base angle? There is a second lever on the side with the recline.

I have the XL AWD EB, Haven't noticed any problem yet (only 106 miles so far). I will get back to you after I take a long trip. Hope you figure out the cause Justin. Best of luck!

Back in September 2021 I went to the State Fair of Texas in Dallas and got to sit in an XL, XLT and Lariat.

The seats in the XLT were super comfortable compared to the XL. It was a noticeable difference.

At the time I already had ordered an XLT (I wanted cruise) but sitting the an XL I was so glad I ordered the XLT.

I have the basic xlt and upon taking delivery realized that it did not come with a lumbar adjustment on the driver seat. I found it pretty uncomfortable. What worked for me was a soft small throw pillow at the bottom of the seat back. I also lean the seat back a bit. Now that I am more used to the truck I don’t seem to need the pillow much. But I do carry it under the backseat in case I do. Hope this helps.

I have an XL and the seats are… okay at best. I am 5’8” and about 150lbs but am very sensitive to poor car seats. I have added a cover king cover which helps but may also add additional bolstering .

I hope you find a solution.

With the side bolster you might try taking your wallet out of your left pocket. I have to remove mine when I drive my Corvette. It doesn't bother me with the Maverick.

Decades ago I discovered that my poorly upholstered butt caused my leg to go numb if I kept my wallet in my rear hip pocket. I have carried it in my shirt pocket since and problem gone. Worth trying if the XL seats cause pain. Simpler than buying scrapyard seats. Which seem might be the answer, otherwise.
