I towed a UHaul 5x8 cargo trailer with cargo (about 1300 lbs total) and the truck felt great! UHaul trailer top speed is 55 mph, and I got about 30mpg in tow/haul mode overall.

go too far, or fast. I’ve had probably twice this amount a time or two and it did fine.

I was towing a 5' x 8' utility trailer. I used it to get mulch, wood, and deliver raised bed garden planter boxes I make and deliver to customers. However, I sold the trailer a few months ago, so I no longer haul anything with it.

18 foot ski boat with a 4 cyl. Towed it great, launched and loaded great.
I didn't go up any grades other than the launch ramp ;) though.

It's not the weight that takes so much horsepower in this case, it's the parachute effect.

I've taken this 7x12 on one short trip and one half day trip, and I'm about to take it on a long trip.

I usually go 50 mph uphill and 60 mph downhill and about 55 mph on flat.

I get ~20 mpg with air conditioning on.

It's about equivalent to a 2 horse trailer. Probably a little bigger. But lighter because it's made of wood and fiberglas/plastic shell. Was 1500# empty as sold but I stripped out a few things I didn't need probably got it down a bit in weight. I have a side by side OHV inside right now but I've used it for moving and hauling all sorts of stuff (with a former truck). It's rated for 3500# and has electric brakes. I added an aftermarket brake controller to my Maverick. It's tall so I can have a light bar, etc, on top of the OHV.

Edit:
Due to differences of opinion, site administrator has temporarily suspended my ability to make new posts, without defining the length of "temporary". I think I accidentally offended someone. Well I'm deeply sorry to anyone offended. I'll keep adding data here; when able.

Hi - Not sure how to do this as I am new to the club. My new Hybrid arrives in two weeks. I cannot find any information on the hitch that comes with it so I hope you can help. Did you have your Hybrid re-wired to accommodate the 7pin connector in order to activate the brake controller ? Did you change the receiver or did you just use the one that was installed ? The trailer I want to order weights right at 2000 pounds with no cargo (water, clothes, etc.). I know I can only have two passengers and maybe 200 pounds of gear, food, etc. in the bed. The trailer is already equipped with electric brakes, andI know the Hybrid did not come with a brake controller. Any info you can give me on how you did your set up would be greatly appreciated. I am downsizing from a 24' motorhome - towing a car.
