Try going 19 months
A VIN, not built changed to another model year and then wait more time.....

dig in and be patient or buy one with mark up while you wait...
That's what I did!

I would take off mud guards, drop in bed liner, and the soft cover ASAP. That is holding you back big time. Those were contraints last year and they continued into this year. As Tim Bartz has said many times, don't put any bed accessories on your order! They are all things that can be added later.
Agree with this totally. Soft cover, bed liner and mud guards can be ordered from Amazon and in your hands in 3 days for as cheap or maybe cheaper. Leaving on is holding you up big time.

Only 8 months??? I am at 20 months (Oct 1, 2021 order) for an XL HYbrid with nothing but a trailer hitch. Been Priority 10 the entire time. Contacted chat yesterday (for about the 30th time) and still "Priority 10: clean" the same as it has been for over a year and a half. Small dealer from last year had only half their orders filled last year (including both Hybrid and Eco). Went with a larger dealer this year. They expect to get most of their ECO orders filled but maybe only half their Hybrids (they had about 50 unfilled Hybrid orders from last year that are also Priority 10). If I don't get it this year, I plan to just wait for the Toyota Stout.

New person here, but been watching for a while. Ordered on 9/16/22. XL and hybrid…pretty much guaranteed no production apparently. I will probably reorder in July but honestly looking forward to the Toyota Stout. Have owned many a Ford with such love for the product, but Ford missed so many opportunities to be a hero!!! :(

Certain Youtube channels are adamant that the Stout is around the corner. They even come out with these pictures of the vehicle that's totally not a photoshopped Maverick with Toyota's CEO on the front with some clickbaity title like "Ford is done!!!!" to make sure you got the memo.

Why are you at 19? Have your dealer bump it up to 10. Beyond that, it's up to the factory. Plenty of Maverick owners have waited well over a year but maybe that's not the current average. Anyhow when it finally comes you'll love it. Hang in there.

I feel your pain more than you know. Ordered on 9/16/2022 and it was destroyed in a train derailment. Now I been resubmitted. We will see. My dealer says don't worry.
Ah, you one of those unfortunates. Is the factory taking pity on you at all? Bumping you up?

I think the only constraint option on mine (waiting 8 months also) is the tow hitch. I've heard that you can't get an aftermarket hitch installed (or that it may cause problems), so that (and the low price option) is why I stuck with it.

I took delivery on my EcoBoost on day 445. Have patience. They are very slow.

In my case, yes. When I ordered 20 months ago I was promised the truck "by April at the very latest". The original point of ordering was to have a new vehicle to use for vacation in the summer of 2002. I ordered again in September 2022 just because there was not anything else in the market at the time. Since then, I bought another car (used) and spend $$ fixing up my other 2 vehicles (an F350 diesel that can haul anything and a Honda Civic that gets 42 MPG) that both have over 200k miles and expect will go another 100k miles at least. My needs and priorities have changed over the last 20 months. At this point, I don't "need" a new vehicle even though I still "want" a new vehicle.

If my XL Hybrid never gets built, at this point I am not going to be too disappointed. If I need to wait another 2 years for a Toyota, so be it. I have owned 5 different Fords in my life and NONE have been anywhere close to as reliable as my Honda (or my wife's Toyota). I am sure there are many others in my same situation (such as the poster you asked the question of).

my order was 9/20, priority code 12, went into production this week. Bought someone's unclaimed order 2 weeks later.
My situation is similar. zero option XL hybrid is in production right now but I bought someone's 2022 XLT AWD 4K LUX last October. Super happy with it! Hope I'm as happy with the hybrid when it arrives.

Meh, I figure that if reorder, Ford will plod along with the manufacture of the Maverick- I mean why change a thing when you still sell every unit - and I’ll get it sometime in 2024. Maybe by then the Stout will be reality and if the maverick is not on the horizon I’ll jump ship.
