I have followed this forum for past 7 months since ordering my Mav. This is the process I went through to finally have my Mav.
1. Ordered Mav Hybrid XLT on 9/20/2022 and got a DORA printout and confirmed I was COVP'd the next business day. (Thankfully I had read on this forum to make sure to get a DORA printout)
2. Received email updates from Ford and was able to track progress on Ford's website.
3. Issued VIN in Jan 2023 and Scheduled for Production in March 2023.
4. Mav built week of 3/30/2023 and Shipped 4/04/2023.
5. Once built, I went by the dealership to let them know I was tracking the progress and when the truck arrived I wanted it just as it was off the truck, no dealership add-ons.
6. Mav arrived at dealership 4/18/2023 and my salesman called me same day.
7. I went to the dealership after work 4/18/2023 to see and drive my Mav. I had never driven one before or even sat in one.
8. Based on salesman's and my work schedule, arranged to complete purchase on 4/21/2023.
9. Dealership low balled me on potential trade and I chose to sell it on my own.
10. Since I had my DORA in hand they agreed to sell the Mav at the ordered price of $27,855, instead of the $28,335 sticker on the truck. Dealership agreed I had price protection since I had my DORA at the time of purchase and person purchasing was same one who placed the order. (If I titled in my business, I was told they were not going to honor the price protection).
After reading all the bad experiences on this forum, I wanted to post mine. I am not sure if my experience with Ford is common for most. I am satisfied with my truck so far. This is my first Ford purchase. Hopefully everything continues to go well as the miles rack up.
