What does a Lariat w/out remote start key fob look like?

My 2023 Maverick with luxury package came in and I was expecting the remote start key fob but it is missing. I thought it was included and the salesman said the key fob doesn’t come with the remote start button. No one told me what’s going on. Was the remote start button removed by Ford without my knowledge?

Keyfob remote start was removed from the Lux package and was an additional add-on for 2023.

Very unfortunate. There was a lot of info and changes to crunch through in the couple days we had to order. Wish your dealer did you a favor and understood the changes too, clearly they didn't. Your best option may well be 3rd part or the Ford Security add-on.

Well, if it was a constraint, I would not include it to get my Maverick faster. I ordered in October of 2021.

There is so much confusion in this forum about many things to do with the Lariat package. For some strange reason people just assume all Lariats are Lux package as well, when I would bet at least half of them made were not. The Lux package constraints were a big reason, but also lots of expensive things many people don't want. Ford has blurred the lines between XLT and Lariat too much IMO, but of course it works for them because it gets people to upgrade and spend more money on higher margin models.

I took delivery of my '23 Lariat Lux on March 7th. I was prepared to use the FordPass app to Remote Start, but my key fobs do have the RS button and it works fine. I guess enough people removed it from their order that it became less of a constrained item.

I need this! I have an XLT and just ordered the perimeter plus module. I wonder if I get this fob if the remote stary button will work since mine didnt come with it.

Fyi, you can use your existing key fob for remote start with the perimeter Plus add-on. It tells you the sequence to push in the manual of the perimeter plus.
Press Lock,Unlock,Lock.
