Hey everyone!

Like many others im waiting for my 23MY Maverick. I ordered the lariat. since they removed the remote start due to constraints i never added it on to help my chances and figured I’ll do a aftermarket option. My question is, since they removed that option what does the keyfob look like? Is that just a blank button? Is it a button at all? If it’s a button can it be used for something else?

If any one with a 2023 lariat can upload a photo of the key fob it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for you help!

You will have a better chance at getting a quick response of what you actually want by being more specific with your title.

Your current title is too vague and will likely get passed over by many (including the ones that could give you your answer) with most thinking "it's a key fob... It looks like a key fob".

If I were you, I would change your title to: "What does a Lariat w/out remote start key fob look like?"

This would be your best shot at getting a response, especially since this configuration is still probably at a really low number for MY23 this early in the production year.

Even a 22 Lariat without remote start (that key fob should look the same as the 23) is probably hard to find because I think the majority of people splurging for the Lariat trim want it for the ACC which required the lux package, which in 22 had the remote start.

Thanks for your post. I changed the title. Let’s see if that helps.
From my understanding, a 22 Lariat came with remote start standard. And the XLT with the Lux package also came with it.

Since it’s removed I just wondered what it looked like.

I can't be certain but I think that you "could" get a 22 Lariat without remote start, the remote start only gets added with the lux package, but choosing the Lariat without also adding the lux and CP360 packages seems like a waste of money and I don't think many people ordered one that way. I don't think there is much resale value in the Lariat without those other added options. It would be like someone wanting to spend the extra money to get a Rolex but deciding to save a little money by not purchasing a band with it. But, like I said, I don't remember for sure whether or not the remote start was a standard Lariat feature or was still a part of the lux package.

Edit: I see how my above comment came off as a bit judgemental, I made an assumption based off of my recollection of what came with the Lariat trim, and stated my opinion that the Lariat trim was not worth the upgrade without the other packages, as an unobjectionable fact.

First off, you actually get quite a bit more features and upgraded features with the Lariat trim than I remembered and I will admit to being wrong in the statement that a non-lux, non-CP360 Lariat Maverick would not have a very good resale value.

Secondly, what I consider to be worth paying more for is not always the same as what someone else does. My reasons for choosing the XLT trim over the XL trim can probably be viewed less worth it than what you get going from XLT to Lariat. I think my extreme dislike of the color scheme of the Lariat interior has greatly skewed the value to me. If I had to live with that interior every day, I wouldn't be able to be happy with it unless it had ALL the goodies, but that is my opinion, not the general consensus, which was the mistake of my original comment.

Well I didn't get the band with my Rolex. I'm fine with it. I waited 5 months for mine. I didn't want to wait over a year for it. To each there own. Just like I don't understand why people would buy a XL maverick? But hey, buy what you want. I wanted the truck so bad. So I got a lariat without the luxury package. Also my last 40 cars I owned did not have 360 copilot. I know how to drive. Maybe more people should buy a self driving Tesla, all the extras are not needed. Also I have remote start on the app. By the time you are close enough to use the fob remote start , its already to late to warm it up.

You're completely right, I was wrong in my statement that a non-lux, non-CP360 Lariat Maverick won't have a good resale value. I am usually a big proponent of a "you do you" mindset and would like to apologize for unintentionally pushing my personal opinion as fact. I have edited my original comment to reflect this, and blame my early morning foggy, pre-caffeinated brain... 🥱🙈

Also I'm use to buying the mid to high option vehicles. With the maverick, I like the color matching mirrors and handles. And led lights, and upgraded seats. They clean very easy.

My 2023 Maverick with luxury package came in and I was expecting the remote start key fob but it is missing. I thought it was included and the salesman said the key fob doesn’t come with the remote start button. No one told me what’s going on. Was the remote start button removed by Ford without my knowledge?
