After waiting what seemed like an eternity... Though these days not so much... I was able to take my hybrid First Edition Maverick home one year ago today.
6600-ish miles later, this little truck has met my expectations fully. Though I'm skeptical of its longevity, it has fully met my expectations to this point.
Admittedly, I've shopped around. Seeing what I might be able to move up to while the resale value is high. But nothing has been a good enough deal for me to say goodbye to my Mav.
As easy as it seems to be able to trade this truck in, I've got to remind myself about the months of anticipation and the fact that so many others have waited even longer to get their truck. I've had really no problems at all. Just a few gripes, but mostly worries brought on by other people's misfortunes. At this point, I've concluded I should just be happy to be informed of what could go wrong (and how to go about getting fixed) and not fret to the point where I sell the truck prematurely.
Anyway, just thought I'd share my reflections on a year of ownership.
