After one year my Maverick has 8,220 miles. The gas mileage started at 28.2 for the first 4 months. The next 5 months it averaged 29.6. The last 3 months it averaged 29.9. The truck continues to handle and ride very good. It is the best truck I have ever owned. Only 2 recalls . The one for the taillights has been done, but the recall for the rear camera has not been done. The only complaint I have is the stop/start feature. I try to turn it off at all times, except when I am driving in a congested area with many traffic lights. I am using full synthetic oil and changing it about every 5,000 miles. The XL is a good fit for me, and I think it represents very good value!

Thanks for sharing. Hope you continue to enjoy your truck. I also believe it's the best truck I have owned so far.

I did the swap from blend to full synthetic and I suspect a new different oil filter at 1000 miles and I've seen a definite increase in MPGs immediately after the oil change. Some of it is learning how to drive this specific truck better but I suspect that the oil change helped.

Only 8k miles you have been standing still, my 24 at a tad over a year at 19,940. So far love it! 27.25 mpg for the year. The Maverick has been to both coasts and ready for more!
