Where'd all the cheap tonneaus go?

Seen these is yours rollup or tri fold? Is the fit good, is it water tight and what company did you buy from? All and all for the price are you happy with it?

It's a roll up and pretty much the cheapest available. Leaks a little, but I would have no problem putting luggage in the back when it's raining. It does get air under it a little, I probably have room to slide it back if needed and that might help some.

Be thankful. You're way better off spending 250-$300+ for a name-brand tonneau with warranty, vs. 175-$200 for an off-brand pos. A tonneau is a necessity for me. I wouldn't want to skimp on a el-cheapo.

Here’s the cheapo one I got from Amazon, the soft roll up by Tiptop. It’s not bad especially for the price. Easy to install once I worked out my arse from my elbow

All the Amazon/eBay "cheap" covers look to be made by one company in China and come in 3 versions: roll up, soft trifold, and hard trifold. You're only paying more for a mythological warranty by some of the sellers.

The roll-up version uses locking tabs made of cheap pot metal and they broke during installation. There was no way I'd trust that version with subzero temps if the metal broke at ~60*F.

I exchanged it for the chineseum soft trifold and the latches are different and so far have been much more robust. For what I paid, I figured if I get 3 years out of it that's good enough.

I got the Tonno Pro hard fold-up from Real Truck. Yeah, it's not $200 like the super cheap roll ups, but at around $500 on sale or with our forum discount, it seems like a much better deal than similarly priced off-brand ones on eBay or Amazon. Made in USA with lifetime warranty. Fits great, easy to install, and has held up pretty damn well in a very wet winter.

Sub 300 bucks for tonneau soft cover is a deal roll or three fold as long as it keeps water out. Not very good for security but worth it for cargo staying dry. I have a gator trifold that works great. My Ranger has a bakflip trifold rigid for security.

The bed cover arrived today. I have never had one before. It was easy to install by myself in 20 minutes, not including the time I spent reading the instructions. The cover is solid and looks good. Also it seems to fit well without making any modifications which I I have read from other people's experiences with other covers.

I ended up getting a jdmspeed roll-up for $152 on ebay (used the best offer option) and it seems to be the same as the tiptop roll up. The jdmspeed tri fold might be worth looking at.

Looks like Gator makes a soft roll that fits the Maverick now! It's the Gator SRX. Real truck has them for $279 but with the club discount it will probably be closer to $200. I think I might try one come spring. I currently have the Gator SFX tri fold but want to try a roll up.

I am looking at this cover for my Maverick. How do you get a club discount from the vendor?
