Apparently it's sometimes called a "Sharrow", indicates that the road is shared use for bikes and cars, usually lower speeds and when there isn't room for a dedicated bike lane. What is a bike symbol? It looks like the bike is in middle of road?
Yep. Pretty common here in Seattle as well. Lots of options for people parked on the side to open their door and destroy a bike rider.Apparently it's sometimes called a "Sharrow", indicates that the road is shared use for bikes and cars, usually lower speeds and when there isn't room for a dedicated bike lane.
Here's the area in street view (I assume that link will work), clearly marked as a bike route and lots of "sharrows" on the ground. Of course, who knows what the cammer was doing before the video...
appreciate the info - had no idea what a sharrow is, as yet unseen in my area of MNYep. Pretty common here in Seattle as well. Lots of options for people parked on the side to open their door and destroy a bike rider.

It's a road marked for shared usage. Bikes have equal rights to it as cars in this case.I would never support a rager like this but do have to say that bikes using up the road is annoying. Just move over. That vehicle obviously is going faster than your peddling.
...dude, you're getting pretty up in your feelings about basic right of way traffic laws.In what world is a bike equal to a car or truck? Move over!
