Got to take my alto blue xlt eco fx4 lux home last night.. The signing was painless...MSRP.. The private offer and farm Bureau applied for a 2250$ off... Put 8k down on it.. Small town dealership... Tom Peck FORD in Clinton WI.. Randy the general manager was my salesman I went to them as a referral.. Didn't try to add any extra charges or do anything to the truck I didn't ask for so had no surprises... Went to 2 other dealerships first just got a shady fealing from them.. Later found out one was telling you a 5k adm.. Was mandatory and if u want the truck pay it of leave it and had turned down mavs with 10k market adjustment..

I'm 44.This is the 10th vehicle I've owned and the first one I have ever gotten from a dealership.. (or new for that matter) salesman asked if I was interested in a extended warranty. Gave me the options to chose from.. Decided to go with a extended bumper to bumper for 84 months. 75k miles...Will prob hit the time and miles around the same Time on the warranty drive less then 10k a year...

Have only put 45miles on it so far.. I got the lux mainly for the heated seats ( I knew the wife would love it. Use to have a take home company truck 2014 f350 Lariat. The owners said it was mine for personal use also outside work it was a nice perk.. It had heated seats and she loved them) The auto hold is nice will take a little time to trust it and can see how it can maybe get u into trouble if u get to use to it.. Like if I drive the wife's car without it... Dial shifter will take a little while to get use to.. My only real complaint so far is I wish the outside mirrors with the little blindspot mirrors were on the outside bottom not outside top.

I love the alto blue.. Blue during the day, black looking at night or in the shade... Had the dealership take it to get sprayed in bedliner and the front driver and passenger windows tinted to match the back.. Came off the convoy semi with 6 miles on it.. After the 2 add-ons I asked for picked it up with 30 miles on it..
Sold my 2003 explorer sport trek to a guy at work.. wanted it as a fishing truck for the 4wheeldrive.. For hauling his little Johnboat in and out of the docs.. otherwise said it will be his son's vehicle to drive to school in..

Hope you enjoy it my man! You can definitely tell the exterior design of the maverick was inspired by the sport trac, so it should be pretty familiar feeling.

Warm butt and hands make the lux package worth the money. IMO YMMV

Ya I've had a very large truck, reg sized, mid sized and this is the 2nd small truck... It suits my needs and as good on gas thats what I wanted again...something that handles nice in the snowy roads in the winter... Still has less then 100 miles on it... Took it to the grocery store this morning... Put it in slippery mode just to see the difference... I was pretty surprised... Less responsive when starting from a stop.. Could see it send a lot more power to the back then just in normal from the start at a stop.. And when it shifts it up shifted sooner to a higher gear and would down shift faster like when I was hauling a 14k loaded trailer with the f350.. So the trans and engine would do some of the work braking... I was surprised, kinda sucks don't want have any snow on the roads to realy check it out... But still have a good month of winter left here in Southern WI. / northern IL.. So maybe I'll get lucky with some more snow... ( I love winter) I grew up in Alaska and when I was 14 we moved to San Antonio TX... I'm the middle of summer... (that f-ing sucked) I realy don't like the heat in summer

Flood Ford and I think Granger Ford are known for selling extended warranties at near cost. You might want to what price they are selling them for. If they are a lot less you may be able to cancel yours and buy one from them or you dealer may price match.

I live in northern MN, and I'll need to wrap this over the Maverick heated steering wheel...

Have you driven the Mav with a heated steering wheel yet? I find it hard to believe that it's not warm enough for pretty much any climate... I certainly would not want it any warmer than my '22 Lariat Hybrid Lux wheel gets...

That's what I should call her... I didn't put it in the garage the first night... Had to move a gas stove the I have been keeping in the garage on that side since we bought the house about a year and a half ago... House came with a electric stove ( which I hated at first) wife Wants to sell the gas one..

Heated steering wheels are a necessity when you get older. They make driving in the winter much easier for those with arthritis in your hands. I generally leave it on most of the time as it just feels good. Both our Maverick and Bronco Sport have it and it’s used. Alto Blue is absolutely beautiful, enjoy your Maverick, we sure do!

I never thought Id like a heated steering wheel until my wife got her 2020 Escape with that. Then I realized it's wonderful and I love it. Thats one of the main reasons I ordered an XLT Lux for my maverick

Congrats on your new Maverick. I guess I could say it was a cool looking truck, but from what I see, it is a freezing looking truck LOL. Even though we get a bit of ice and snow two or three times in Jan or Feb, I am glad TX does not have to have it like you guys.

Enjoy your Maverick. I have a Shadow Black FX4, but have a Hybrid Alto Blue with a build date of 2/27. I saw one and went back and changed my order from an Area 51 to the Alto Blue. In the old days, we would call it Midnight Blue.

When I was 14 we moved from 7 years in Alaska to San Antonio in the middle of summer... Back in 92.. And I always thought it was funny seeing people down there wear winter coats in Jan and Feb... When it would get down to maybe mid 30's at night maybe.. And 45-50's in the daytime... Man I use to have to walk to school when it was -55.. Didnt get a ride to school from my dad till it got below -60

I was living in Houston when several of us from the same company went to NYC on a business trip. It was mid-September, and I thought it was hilarious that all the NY residents were walking around in overcoats with scarves and hats, chins tucked into their coats... Meanwhile the five Texans were walking around with our suit coats slung over our shoulders because we were too warm. It was around 68ª if I remember correctly.

On the other hand, I spent 3 days in Minneapolis during February one year, and within 15 minutes after the plane landed, I realized that my warmest Houston coat - basically a lined windbreaker - was just not going to cut it... I wound up buying the only down jacket in the airport gift shop that fit (it was bright red - I looked like Santa Claus). I wore that jacket the entire time I was there. I want to say it was around 7ºF, made worse by a brisk wind.
