Finally 492 days later…..the wait is over.

My son is quite happy. Monday, it becomes his since the dealer cannot prep the exterior until then. They stated they have inspect for damage. What’s a few more days.……A long wait but just what he ordered in 2021 plus the addition of free cruise control. With the private offer he will be about $500 less than his original MSRP. He was able to put money away as well so the monthly will not be bad and we found 4.75% financing from my credit union for up to 84 months. He also has the ”Farm Bureau” $500 incentive to apply (Thanks to this forum). More photos coming Tuesday after he closes. There are no other vehicle options he wanted to consider and he was content in waiting. He’s already calculating the fuel savings over his temporary Camry. I will say the dealer did everything right with a little nudging.

And here it is…..he opted for no prep at all, even a wash. He will only touch it with a microfiber and will ceramic it when warm weather arrives. We spent a year prepping new cars at a dealership.

The only hiccup was the Farm Bureau $500 incentive. It would not apply the certificate but they thought the system may not have been updated yet since he printed it less than 24 hours before closing. If it’s applicable they will send him a check. It does say in Small Print “may not be valid with Special Private Offers.”

He got 42 MPG on the 62 mile
drive home. It’s nice to see Ford got the tire balance perfect as well.

I bought the dealership sales team pizza for dinner as they did “everything” right for this order and kept it alive and incentivized.

Now the long wait for mine……in blue with Co-Pilot.

The video is his first drive to work today, the backup chime and the “cold start” sounds…..
