I use Torque on all my vehicles. I really like it. But for the money, you simply can't beat Turtle Wax Seal and Shine. I used that stuff for years before switching over to Torque, still have some TW in the garage now. I think all spray "sealants" are subjective honestly, but for ease of use the TW line is really good. Once I am out of Torque I will be switching back to the S&S.

I’ve been going through a bottle of the blue Meguiar’s hybrid ceramic. We’ve had some snow and I ended up with these semi-frozen water beads on my roof and hood.

What 22MavXLT said. I have used Torque on my Mav and found it very easy and effective.

I will mention about Torque, the darker color you use it on, the more depth of shine you get. I used it on my Daughter's black Mustang a few weeks ago. Detailed the car and did a paint correction on it because while it was technically new, it needed it in certain spots. Applied the Torque Ceramic spray on every single part of the exterior and let it sit in the garage for more than 24 hours to "cure". When I pulled it out of the garage into the sun, even my Daughter said it looked the best she had seen it since she bought it in September. I was amazed at the depth in the black paint honestly. For a spray on "coating", it worked very well.

Same time and money.
Don't buy spray bottle. Highly effective for short term. Highly diluted. Will wash off in 2 weeks.
Get H9 and or better H10 graphene based. Just make sure to apply after you clay bar the hell out it. It's seals paint as well.

I use the spays on areas that can’t be buffed aka wheel wells, grills and only after the vehicle painted surface has been corrected, polished and topper of choice as the spray will get in the nooks and crannies a pad can’t.
I like TW graphene spray

Honestly, "ceramic spray coatings" are nothing more than spray wax with a very small percantage of SiO2 so they can slap the buzzword "ceramic" on it. They last about as long as a spray wax but some are slicker or provide more depth of gloss. If you're wanting longevity the best bang for your buck is an actual spray sealant. Turtle Wax Seal N Shine is a good one or even just Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax. If you want to move up to an actual ceramic coating there are quite a few DIYer friendly versions out there if you're interested. The prep work you put in beforehand is going to dictate how well your ceramic coating performs.

While I am currently using Torque products, I do still recommend TW Seal and Shine. Or like the above poster said, TW Ice Spray Wax. I have always had good outcomes with it. For the money and for a spray, you simply can't beat it. I bought my Torque when they had a before Christmas sale and got 5 bottles for $75. Otherwise I would still be using TW.

Agreed. I DIY ceramic coated mine last year with this
https://avalonking.com/products/armor-shield-ix-diy-kit

On sale was $55. Not that difficult and still looks and performs great 8 or so months later.
I rarely have to wash my truck unless it rains. Usually just needs a quick wipe down with some Quik Detailer spray.

Im certainly willing to try something new but Ive had good luck so far with the Turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic/carnauba spray. It's obviously not a true coating but does hold up for quite awhile, is readily available at Walmart, and super easy to use. I like things like that cause you can do all the rubber and textured black plastic trim and panels with it as well. I just re coat a vehicle several times a year and it seems to work well. So quick and easy to do.

Seems like there are quite a few good choices in products coming out that work well. Im pretty much done with regular waxes anymore cause the offerings now are so much better.

I'm just dying to get my Maverick all cleaned, clayed, and coated. I hate receiving a brand new vehicle in winter. we don't get a lot of snow and slop here in SW Ohio anymore but its just wet and rainy/grey skies non stop and too cold to get out the hose to wash and get work done. First warm sunny day we get soon when I'm off work it's getting done.....have all the supplies I need waiting.

I am with you. We have had rainy/cold weather here for what seems like months now. Every time I go to clean something, it is going to rain within a few days. So why bother? Hoping for nice weather before I have to trade this Maverick for the one I ordered. I would love to see this one clean again.

As for regular paste waxes or cream polishes, the only time I have used any product like that in the past decade was to do paint correction. All of my vehicles get spray wax/sealant. Paint now days is way better than it was in the 90's. There really is no need to use those waxes/polishes anymore.

How much does the dealership coating differ from DiY?
