Thank you!Awesome build!!!
I didn't do the ST badges since it's still a current offering. Still need to do the splash screen, thanks for the reminder!Yeah as much as I think the ST badges would look right at home on mine…. I just can’t do it
Also not a fan of up-badging either but I’m closer to an ST than a stock one! (Sport Truck)
Have you tried adding the RS splash screen yet?
I didn’t try as I was after ST only
PS I saw an Escape with those wheels, good choice….. had I seen them earlier I might have gone that route as well
That's coming soon. Already have the parts, just didn't have the time. Also surprised you didn’t open up the hole/fake vent while you had the fender vents off
Is there a way to make that side badging really a vent?First things first; I hate when people upbadge. Your V6 Mustang is not a Cobra Jet, and your V6 Challenger ain't a Hellcat. That said, Ford retired the RS nomenclature in 2018 so I'm "cross badging" it.
RS stands for Really Slow. Real Silent? Rat Shit? Rocket Ship? Relief Society? (Last one for us Utahns.)
This started with shopping for center caps for the Escape wheels. The caps that came with them weren't perfect, then I saw the RS ones and thought, "What the hell?" They measured the same, so let's try and amuse myself.
They didn't fit. I messed around with ine and modified it a bit using a heat gun. The the others begged for it too. Now they fit.
Astute viewers may have noticed them in the failed chin spoiler post.

Yes, I'm ridiculous about details so what better way to make myself laugh than to shave the XL off of my vents?

...aaaand make my Maverick an RS version? I hope nobody tries to race me, that would be embarrassing.

Oh, that just reminded me to pull my hybrid badge off!
Sorry if this bothers you (not really), it's only to amuse myself.
Yes but no. There's really nothing to vent out of there as there's just a small gap between the fender and inner fender. I suppose you could vent the engine bay, but why?Is there a way to make that side badging really a vent?
To hear the turbo noises better! Oops, forgot you are non turboYes but no. There's really nothing to vent out of there as there's just a small gap between the fender and inner fender. I suppose you could vent the engine bay, but why?
I actually just sold my '22 EcoBoost tonight, LOL.To hear the turbo noises better! Oops, forgot you are non turbo
Plus I’d think it would create a release for air to flow through the engine compartment
I know I’d prefer the fender to be fully smooth, but since that’s not happening I plan to make mine functional vents (and color matched)
Does that mirror plug right in??$20 Kia mirror with Homelink buttons installed. Now I can open my gate and shop without a visor full of remotes.

No, you need to splice it into the dome lamp power. Super easy though, whole install was about 20 minutes.Does that mirror plug right in??
