4 days in and now I have a loaner…. Dealer will check it tomorrow. I thought I would have got a little further before I needed a service. Quality is Job one! Or maybe two…

It seems Ford has dropped that slogan, for some reason.
We’ve seen that issue posted out here several times. Ford should be issuing a TSB soon on this.
There already is a TSB that mentions issues with the EGR valve - tsb-22-2493-issued-for-2-5l-hybrid-maverick-grabby-brakes-at-or-below-6-2-mph.24977. DTC P0402 would leave a message just like that one in FordPass. We’ve seen that issue posted out here several times. Ford should be issuing a TSB soon on this.
Probably just software updates and potentially the EGR sensor replaced. All covered under your warranty. Feel free to search on here for P0402 or EGR to learn more.Curious as to what the fix was??

Sucks that it happened so early but it's good they were able to hook you up with a loaner in the interim.
The same message happened to my maverick. Built 10 Sep. Delivered 18 Oct. First message on 31 Oct. EGR replaced on 20 Dec. Had loaner vehicle (Escape) for 5 days.
