2023 XL/XLT PSA - No ambient lighting

I haven't seen this posted, but compared to the 2022, my 2023 does not have the bulb for the center console or the icon in the screen for ambient lighting. I was wondering why it was so dark near the phone area and now I know why.

Can anyone with the light take a picture of your layout? I'd like to try and get the part numbers from both the bulb and the console.

No I have it on my XLT. But only one color, lariat you can change colors.

When you get a chance can you pull out the console and snap a picture? It doesn't require any tools, pulls straight out.

Are you serious? The light is embedded on the underside of that hunk of plastic. There is a lot of empty air there…. Wondering if I could sandwich an raspberry pi board in there. How easy was it to take off?

Oh man, still haven’t figured how to remove that section but it’s plenty deep for a raspberry pi to fit and looking at the plastic made for adding stuff on easily. Also if you want to hide a air tag tracking device its a logical place to put it….

Well last post about adding a raspberry pi to the Maverick. Looking dead easy. Someone above figure how to use the cars display screen as a computer monitor. The hard parts are already done… sweet!

since when was the blue ambient lighting included with xlt? It’s a lariat feature
