So this light bar that has the brake light / bed light combo:

Ford Maverick Rear brake light / bed light - where to tap into its wiring 1656879260290

Where does its wiring harness run?

I want to tap the white lights to run my LED bed light kit.

Like to find the more convenient place to tap the wiring.

Thanks!

Just realized the original is an OLD post, with no factory light in the bed
There should be power ports in the bed near the rear. One on each side that you can tap into. You should have a plug that connects to either of them

I think that they wanted to tap into that so it would turn on and off with the switch in the cab. I don't think those 12v add-ons do that.
Ooh, didn’t realize that. Wonder if the wiring is already there for factory bed light and switch.

I believe that is only included if you get the inverter and LED bed light from the factory.

The other option is just to install a switch in the line with the lights and use the 12v lines for put in there that you pointed out.

I moved the power supply to inside a cubby on the drivers side, lost the factory light, and moved the switch and used it for lights installed in each side of the bed.

Good idea, if you need the extra cubby, the factory light isn't exactly the the brightest anyway.

Swiped the idea from another forum member. It was funnest mod so far. Extra cubby keeping dirt and water from the back of the drivers side taillight too.

The wire for the cargo light is in one of the bcm connectors if you look up the install guide for the lumens bed light kit I believe it’s the green/white wire going into pin 7 of one of those connectors

Do you know where to source the connector to add a wire to the BCM?

I found it just as easy if not easier to tap into the light switch in the bed. That way your led wiring is all contained in the bed rather than figuring out how to run a wire up to the cab lights. Super easy to take off the light/switch cover.

Keep in mind not everyone has the bed light/inverter.
